Had a chat at lunch today. With my girlfriend who is my partner (we live together). She’s an atheist too….so I havent had to deal with any problems there. We talked about what people might think or say about us (especially here) and we also talked about people’s sexual preferences and how that is more accepted here than letting others know that you do not believe in God. I am 45 years old. I live in what has been called “The Buckle of The Bible Belt”. Well, maybe that was true at one time…back when black and whites had separate drinking fountains and buses and schools and women all stayed at home…barefoot and pregnant and homosexuals were considered mentally ill “sodomites”. But…now…in the early part of the 21st century….more people are coming out of their “closets” and apparently(and fortunately) the “Bible Belt” is worn out and is about to “break”.…
