On the Immorality of Christianity

The languid success of logic and facts to dislodge believers from their mistaken beliefs, calls for a new course in the claim for morality’s mantle; religion fails humanity on ethics.

There appears to be no amount of reason or facts that will extricate believers from their cognitive biases, or the nucleus of their intractable, mistaken, and teleological beliefs. Non-theists, in my humble, yet scholarly opinion, need… Continue

Huffington Post joins “accommodationist viewpoint,” announces "religious section" exclusively edited by believers!

Glib title, “Announcing HuffPost Religion: Believers and Non-Believers Welcome,” proves untrue for Arriana Huffington and her flagship internet newspaper, the Huffington Post.

Arriana Huffington unwisely capitulates to the shrill stridency of the now quasi-theocratic America and announces a section dedicated solely to religion[1] without an offsetting voice for the non-theist’s… Continue

When Religion's Apologists Attack!

As religion and its sycophants continue to crumble under the weight of science and reason, its exponents have dialed up the polemics and the deceit.

Jacqueline Maley's editorial, "Atheism's true believers gather"[1], published in The Sydney Morning Herald is one of the most disingenuous, inaccurate portrayals of atheists—replete with some of the most outlandish faulty logic… Continue

As an independent scholar, skeptic and atheist, I have followed Dr. Michael Shermer for some years, read all but one of his books, and attended a number of his public lectures, such as TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design.) Shermer is a dynamic, engaging speaker, talented author, and is prolific in his… Continue

About a year ago the opportunity arose for me to take a palliative care course through my work.  I enjoyed it for the most part. It dealt with topics such as end of life care, pain relief and addressing the spiritual needs of different individuals based on their religious beliefs. There was one instance however that was decidedly unpleasant, and unfortunately really overshadowed the rest of my time in the…See More

"About the only thing I don't see on my home page that was there originally is the MP3 player and playlist.  Not cosmic, by any stretch, but I thought I'd mention it."

"They mistake logic with internal consistency. If you show a theist that his views are internally inconsistent, you will have some measure of success. He will make a good faith (ha!) effort at modifying his views to make them more internally…"
