Ancient Artifacts Subjected to Sacred Spin

I recently went to see an exhibition billed as "Ancient Treasures of the Holy Land" housed in the Embarcadero Building at Fair Park of Dallas. Whose Service Is This, Again?

I attended a funeral recently for a relative of a friend, and I saw a familiar type of service.



The deceased had lived 84 years, and the only things the minister mentioned about him in this memorial (though they were mentioned repeatedly and with due emphasis on their considerable value) were the facts that he was a serviceman (U.S. Navy, in both WWII and Korea), husband, and father (and grandfather and great-grandfather). Modern Primitives

I work in an office on the 15th floor of a glass-walled skyscraper. (Actually, I personally work in a cubicle in that office, but you get the idea.) There are few buildings in this area anywhere near this tall, and the region is mostly very flat, so the view from the windows is wide open -- and, at this time of year, quite pleasant, with lots of trees and other greenery dominating the surrounding neighborhoods, especially on our side of the highway.
