My summer reading began with yard sale book by Matt Ridley called, "Genome"...and it was excellent! That lead me to do some intenet searching and I found him talking on several sites about Rational Optimism. He is well worth looking into and fun to listen to...Life is not as bad as Fox makes it sound!
I finally got the Netflix movie, "Atlas Shrugged: Part 1" and watched it this weekend. Both hubby and I got tears in our eyes from the subject matter and the ideas of Ayn Rand's Objectivism. It stayed very close to the book, but it will come out in 3 parts with the next one due out in October. A pain full wait is ahead of us and anyone else who loves this story. Well worth seeing for all ages and mind sets. We loved it!…

Greetings, I just finished reading, "God, No! Signs You May Already Be an Atheist and Other Magical Tales." It was a well written and rollicking ride by famous magician, Penn Jillette.

He has made sure that Christmas and flying in an airplane will never be the same…
ContinueI believe that the day is coming when the next generation will be hard wired into the Internet. It is only a matter of time, that people will want to have access 24/7, 365 days a year to friends, music and information...but, it makes me wonder, who will be controlling the feed of that information? Will it be the government, the media, big banking, the Vatican...just who will be spinning the information that will be streaming into people's brains. Will we become a bunch of over-loaded…

I just finished and really enjoyed the book "How to Become a Really Good Pain In The Ass". It brought me back to my college days of hanging out in the student lounge with my philosophy professors. It is a combination of a basic philosophy 101 combined with a good English lesson on how to make an argument in clear and concise language. Ultimately, I felt that this book was preaching to the choir in my case. I could not find much to argue with and have been in agreement with this view point…
