I was very excited yesterday, as we all were, it seems, when President Obama mentioned “non-believers” when he listed different types of belief systems that Americans hold. The following has been a topic of conversation that has come up several times with me, and my fellow atheist friends recently. The capitalization of God/god. Being an atheist of the angry variety, who is disgusted by all that is holy, I struggle with this decision frequently.
