In some way, I envy the born-agains

Utah, how could you be so dumb? Outlawing miscarriage

Is rape more morally abhorrent than murder?

I've heard a lot of people say that they think rape is worse than murder. I'm not sure where I stand on this, but I have a few opinions that sway me either way.

1. You can have a good reason to kill someone, like they are trying to kill you, although this may not count a murder, since it was out of self defense.

Something that has been bothering me

A few months ago, I accidentally came across a photo posted on a forum site. The picture was of a 8 week old kitten being impaled by a woman's high-heel stiletto. When people assume I am a theist, I usually correct them and say "I'm an atheist." I'm always told that I should repent, I will have to account for my non-belief when I stand before God, and so on.

Why do theists think that quoting the bible will change our minds? It obviously didn't already and its not going to. It has no rock hard evidence of anything.

98% of theists (don't ask where I got those statistics. I don't know.) I've talked to for some reason think this is an end-all good argument, when it really is a poor one.

Dear Yahweh, why does nearly everything you do make no sense?!

I've asked several theists this, and I am certainly not the first Non-christian to come up with this idea.
