To members in CA, CO, KY, NH, NY, PA, TN, VA and all the others....

I know some may think of this as "a cause" but I hope you will hear me out and please view the links.

On April l5th, a subcommittee of the U.S. House Education and Labor Committee will begin hearings on banning school corporal punishment. The measure would link corporal punishment bans to federal funding and, if successful, would probably be added to the ESEA (formerly "Leave No Child Behind") re-authorization measure.

30 Days- Atheist woman spends 30 days with fundamentalist christian family.

I wasn't sure where to post this but I wanted to share it. It is a very good episode about an atheist woman from Kansas who is immersed in a fundamentalist christian household in Texas complete with weekly bible studies. It's a 45 minute video on hulu so the commercial interruptions are short. I'd love to hear your post-viewing comments.

One of the things that really pisses me off about the religious.

I found this blog post while researching corporal punishment news for P-TAVE (Parents and Teachers Against Violence in Education). I am appalled that people are so okay with this that they post it for the world to see. I can't believe the idiocy of these parents and I have much sadness for these poor children.
