Tough Problems, Even Tougher Solutions

Although the rate of black on black homicide dropped from the rates of crack-fueled 90's, according to FBI statistics murder of black males under 20 is still the number the number one cause of death, nor is it any surprise that the majority of those numbers are…

A little about the posts I've made and an intro to the last one

Hi, I'm Phil Jarrett, the author and copyright holder of the sequence of poems posted on my blog today.

around the fumbles of desire

i followed my own footprints

up my mountain seeking...higher

looking with my eyes i found

A “True” Story Posted by My Grandfather to Facebook, or What Older Generations Really Think of Young People

A “True” Story Posted by My Grandfather to Facebook, or What Older Generations Really Think of Young People

Youth Unemployment in the UK

The unemployment rate for 16-23 year olds is the highest it's been in a generation in the UK, with record numbers of university graduates and school levers going straight on the doll. Even though this feels like a fairly recent news story, caused by raised tuition fees and extensive cuts implamented or planned by the fairly new coalition government, it really has been a growing problem for many years now. I graduated university in the year 2009, which, at the time, was considered the worst…

An atheist dream to his country

I've been reading books about atheism and secularism and try to gain information, as well as inspiration to what I find. After reading a few of them, I began listing my dream in my organization, as well as what it has to share in our country:

I wish that the number of atheists increase.

I wish that the youth becomes interested in atheism.

I wish that there are ordinary men who share and inspire others with their atheism.

I wish that society widely accepts… Continue

Are we the last generation of atheists?

Ranking 3rd on Adherants.com's list of the world's Major "religions", you wouldn't think of Free Thinkers as a dying breed. But, I ask; What are we doing to grow?

If you look at the modern Christian evangelical movement, they are putting up quite a front for the hearts and minds of the world's population, and in particular, it's youth. See, for instance, some of the… Continue
