Orgasmic Organism

I had to go to a meeting today for work and it included a PowerPoint presentation. There was a quote on one slide from a person that had the word "organism" in it. However the presenter accidentally said "orgasm" and didn't even notice! I am not trying to judge—I make mistakes all the time. But it was funny. :)

Should Atheists Hold to the Age Old Belief that Certain Words are Dirty

Basicly, each so called dirty word gains it's dirty word status because at some point in time religious believers claimed that they were dirty mostly because they blasphemed their god or they thought the words definition was offensive or repulsive. Banned words list offers no 'bailout' to offenders

I enjoy language. Reading about it, studying it, and observing how it changes and grows. It is not far off to say that language is a living organism that responds to its environment, and is forever transforming itself. There are a large number of books available on word or phrase origins, forgotten words, or obscure but useful words.
