I'm not saying she CAN'T...

I don't know how many people has seen Tropes vs. Women in Video Games? If not, I will provide a link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6p5AZp7r_Q .

Now, I really don't have a problem with her video....okay I have an issue where she got a lot of money on kickstarter and yet this episode is rather plain... it looks like the usual episode. I dunno, maybe she'll spend the project money on some of the later episodes and maybe…

A Good Watch.

While I am a big fan of Court T.V. (Judge Judy is my favorite! Followed by Peoples Court). I occasionally get a yen for something more substantial. To the magical land of Youtube and I found this great 2 hour debate with Stephen Fry, Christopher Hitchens, and a Catholic Priest and a woman involved with the Catholic Church. It was polite, smart, with some smatterings of humor and of course there was the Q&A session at the end.

It's two hours long, but it's a great watch.…

Violent Video Games Reduce Violent Crime

With the recent shooting at a school in Newtown Connecticut and the shooting in Aurora Colorado violent video games are in the news again. The old men in the old media are blaming violent video games as they always do when a shooting hits the national news.

Violent video games have been the target of old media and conservatives for years. They will spout dubious studies and claim there is a link. They will blame any act of violence on violent video games even if the perpetrator never…

I Smell Crapweasles

Proving the Poobah’s posts are prescient, it’s seems the threat to smite the Mormons over posthumous baptisms caused them to collapse into mint jelly and quash the practice.

Maybe.

After the recent string of religious recycling, the…

Has anyone else ever had a video uploaded to A|N mysteriously vanish?

I'm just wondering if it's a bug or if I've been gotcha'd by a moderator.

I've an inquiry in with the A|N Admin so we'll see where that goes.  Meanwhile a more generalised question - is it just me or has anyone else experienced this?

The story of Suzi

(found on ThinkingAtheist's channel)Look at our world through the eyes of Suzie, a devoutly religious girl who sees divine love and intervention everywhere. This cocoon of comfort keeps her ignorant of science and safely away from critical thought, but it sure makes her happy. If you've interacted with the deeply religious, you've probably met someone in your own life that is just like…
