Off to Mexico--Beach, that is

Shh, don't tell anyone, but in two days, I'm driving south to Mexico Beach, FL, a little community on the Panhandle, 30 miles east of Panama City.

I've rented a house for two weeks (for $300/wk). It's the third time in 4 years I've done this--a getaway from Indiana winter and my boring daily routines. It's a wonderful retreat. The beaches are spectacular and virtually empty. No malls, golf courses, theme parks, people. Perfect for me (alone).

I worry, however. I hate leaving…

Summer Vacation starring John Q. Antichrist - Part 1

It has been eventful summer for me with three vacations so far. I'm hoping my traveling is over now. I love to go on vacation, but I am the type of person that starts yearning for my bed after four days away.

I am only going to cover the most recent vacation in this blog because it is the vacation that will interest the fine folks here on the Nexus. It started Thursday July 1 when I departed Arkansas for a family reunion in the Pennsylvania Dutch country.…

Back from vacation

Ahh... So I've just come back from Florida, and the trip was amazing! Gulf-front condo, right on the dunes :) Hard work pays off, and how. My hubby Matt and I stayed in Seacrest beach, about 5 minutes from Seaside, where they filmed the Truman Show. The town was great; all the crackerbox houses and condos are painted various pastel shades, and the beaches are all private!
