And I Thought "I" Was Crazy...

What follows is a question I asked honestly, in the discussion section of a story on ABCNews.com.  That is an EXCELLENT place to battle a theist.  But "honestly", I would follow "the truth" whatever it would be -if it was the truth.  Still it seems, I will remain safely on this site for a very long time :).

Me: Really, everyone, I'm ready to believe the truth and join your group. Please, someone answer my question with something plausible? I am not…

Life After Death an Atheists New Point of View

I really like to just think. Let your mind go and let the thoughts flow through your mind.

I also do this to help me go to sleep. It's hard to explain what happens, it's like I release

control of my thinking process and my mind starts going "What if this", "What if this",

"What if this", "What if this", "What if this", "What if this", then maybe a good thought

Anxiously* awaiting baby...

*But not patiently.

So here we sit after yet another visit with the midwife, with no baby yet born and our hopes of breaking waters tomorrow as an induction shattered. She's not dilated enough to even attempt to break waters, and we're running low on time. Financially speaking my wife is the sole bread-winner of our household right now (as I JUST finished school and finding a job in this area, in this economy, is not going well to say the least!) and as such she only has a finite… Continue

A First Time Entry Regarding Death, Loss & "Why"

My office recently lost a co-worker to a tragic accident. The funeral is tomorrow, so it is still pretty fresh on the brain. This is the second death in the office in as many weeks, and being a big corporation, management decided to bring in a representative from our Employee Assistance Program. I understand the need for a program like this and I'm grateful to work for an employer who offers this type of service to its people, but something about the presentation made me uneasy. The rep didn't… Continue

The Rednecks are coming, the Rednecks are coming

Actually, the rednecks are here and everywhere. Let me say, I'm not a big fan of these people. That's putting it mildly. Need I describe them? You know who I mean. This seems to be the time of year when they come out of the woodwork. Here in Indiana, as the weather gets nice, the motorcyclists are out in full force. I hate the noise cycles make. Then there's the Indianapolis 500 fans, the majority of which are rednecks. Interview them or a typical Pacer fan (big news as they face the Miami…See More

"Maybe so. Ad that the Pope has no power over anything or anybody except for the power given to him by the office and the world at large today."

Dennis Michael Pennington commented on matthew greenberg's blog post War on Christmas in May
"Happy Holidays is a good enough saying for anyone at Christmas time. I support the phrase "happy holidays" rather than the bullshit most Americans were taught. Let's go back in time to look at meanings here. "Holidays"…"
