Voluntary Euthanasia: A Quantum Theory of Moral Action (part 2)

This is part 2 of a multi-part series.  Please read Part 1, posted December 7.

I contemplate writing a book on this subject intended for the educated reader, tentatively titled “My Death, My Choice: A Secular View of Voluntary Euthanasia” in which this quantum theory will play an integral role.  The book assumes that readers hold a secular humanist worldview.  That is, secular in the sense that no deities, afterlives, or other supernatural notions are involved, and humanistic…

How ISIS Will Attack the U.S. and Europe

ISIS is obviously out to make al-Qaeda look like a pussy cat, which means that ISIS will do its very best to make 9/11 seem like a weak, unimaginative, uninspired attack on the Western world.

It is almost embarrassingly obvious how al-Qaeda can go about doing that.

The Involuntary Suicide Bomber Scenario…

Why I Am An Ex-Christian

Ok, so of course I have to start off with why I became a christian in the first place. I was 'saved' when i was 14 at the end of June, right before my first year of high school. During my 6th and 7th grade years, I became very depressed. I had no true interest in life and in was due largely to the fact that I had no plans for my life. I didn't know what I wanted, and basically let everybody else, but myself, make my choices.

My 8th grade year, I went to a new school and was surrounded…

Free Will and Suicide

The following is an excerpt from my upcoming book "Exodus from Zion".

"Please, please God," I sobbed and begged, in torn jeans and a tank top, huddled on my purple bed clutching a pillow. "Why can't I ever get anything right?" Grief, guilt, and shame - the emotional cocktail of my faith - haunted me. I had failed to live up to His commands, His rules, His dictates yet again. I was a 19-year-old girl, and a sinner. I smoked weed, drank alcohol with my friends, and on rare,… Continue

A dailogue... Now with 100% more Rage Issues!! And +3 lol

[as a member of FUCK CENSORSHIP i must admit my misgivings and overall animosity to changing the subjects name into a silly- albeit apt -pseudonym, but anyone who Really wants to know and help can just be a pain in the ass and ask me- and anyone who has any complaints against it should yell at Rosemary! I'm yelling at her right now in fact!!]

This was a messenger conversation i was having with a friend of mine today. It's choppy because of that, and the emoticons don't carry over,… Continue

Dad links son's suicide to 'The God Delusion'

This is a good one. I came across this story on World Net Daily. According to the report a 22-year-old young man committed suicide and his family and friends are blaming a college biology course, and the Richard Dawkins book 'The God Delusion'.

"Three people told us he had taken a biology class and was doing well in it, but other students and the professor were really challenging my son, his faith. They didn't like him as a Republican, as a Christian, and as a conservative who… Continue

Where Do You Stand With Suicide?

Hello, I know, a really cheery subject.

But I'm kind of lost. I'd love to know your opinions on this touchy subject.

See, 2 months ago I thought suicide was a stupid, permanent solution to a potentially temporary problem.

But a month ago, a very dear friend of mine who was amazingly intelligent and wonderful killed herself at the age of 59. I know she was in very poor health, and that she had problems with her family abandoning her. Other than that, I have no idea why she… Continue
