Political Correctness =: Minority, Lobby driven, Blatantly Errant Pseudo-Psychology

Political Correctness has become a Religion for Naive Fools and Idiotic Politicians to Follow.

I have just read a News Release that they are now starting an entire Psychological Study in order to understand why Youth who were raised in dysfunctional, sometimes violent, parental or guardian environments appear to be more resilient when it comes to dealing with hardship and depression.

Those children brought up in…

Stupid is as Stupid Does (Book Review)

“Stupid is as Stupid Does These words uttered by Forest Gump in the movie of the same name, pretty much describes Americans, at least in the eyes of Charles P. Pierce, in his book, “Idiot America: How Stupidity Became a Virtue in the Land of the Free.”

I would like to report that Pierce is off base in…

Hatred of Atheists plummets to new depths of stupidity

This post is of a more personal nature than usual for me. I was browsing through Reddit recently and came across a link to a bizarre article claiming that research has linked "overt atheism" and mental illness. The story cites no references and contains no links confirming that the study is real. Funnily enough, "Damien", the owner of this website says on his homepage that…

Sometimes I can't decide if you're a really bad Christian, or a really good one

It's a popular topic, in my neck of the woods, the sort of thing people like to titter and gossip about: who's a good Christian, and who isn't. It seems, though, that the more 'Christian love' I'm subjected to, though, the harder time I have differentiating between just who is a bad Christian, or a really good one.

This post will probably ultimately turn out to be half stream-of-consciousness, half rant, rather than any sort of significant prose on the issue, but never… Continue

Stupidity

First blog. I just need to vent for a minute.

I always find myself at a loss for words when I see some people's statuses on facebook or twitter that says, "I am amazed/angered/upset at the stupidity of some people!" or something along those lines.

It's not that their being angry at the stupidity of some people is particularly hard to believe. I find myself feeling this way often. It's just that these people are, almost always, the most fundamental (read: crazy) religious… Continue

Ignorance and Stupidity in the U.S.A.

This is my first blog post on Nexus and with a title such as I have titled this blog, possibly my last but I hope not. A little about myself before we get into the meat of this subject...

I was born and raised in a small town in southeastern Ohio. I was a failure in the public education system and dropped out in the eighth grade. I worked in a variety of jobs mostly in the corrugated box industry. I have lived in Columbus Oh, Jacksonville Fl, Greenbay Wi, Fargo ND and now I am back… Continue

Israelis shoot zoo animals, apparently for fun

Just in case the absolute futility and nihilism of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict wasn't apparent enough, some Israeli soldiers have decided to emphasize the point by deliberately shooting - with small arms and with rockets - animals in the Gaza Zoo. I suppose the soldiers weren't content with conventional ethnic cleansing, and decided that their supremacy needed demonstration against other species, too. Perhaps the soldiers… Continue

Banned from Conservapedophiliac

This post was imported from Livejournal on 2008.07.18

This is hilarious. I signed up on Conservative Wikipedia the other day (I won't even give them the benefit of linking), and I found today that I am "banned." Here it what it says:

Group Asks for Divine Intervention to Ease Oil Prices

If this isn't the epitome of the desperation that breeds religious belief, I don't know what is. I can just see a primal tribe, dancing around the gas station parking lot, hoping that the magical sign drops a cent, and if it does, just once, they'll believe they caused it.

It's about as… Continue

It's Over

This post was imported from Livejournal on 2008.07.18

It's official. America is a Theocracy.

Yesterday we lost the right to challenge executive-branch government spending. The Supreme Court ruled that we can't even challenge "faith-based initiatives." For 7 years, our joke of a president has been holding prayer breakfasts, faith-based lunches, and dinners with the leaders of every major denomination of America's Official Religion, Christianity™. The money… Continue
