Kondratieff wrote that communism, socialism and capitalism will fail, they are designed to fail. Their basic underlying principles have flaws.

Kondratieff was correct when he wrote that communism, socialism and capitalism will all fail because they are designed to fail. The basic underlying principles have flaws.

Communism fails because it doesn't value creativity, encourages collectivism, doesn't value individual rights, doesn't provide incentives to work, has a militant attitude toward imperialism, reveals indifference to environment, it has a basic lack of ability to distribute commodities in a fair manner, it too easily…

Socialized Medicine, It's Closer Than You Think

Nearly 20 years ago, my father, Dr. Porter E. Barbera, MD, told me that socialized medicine would be coming to the United States and he was right.

He said that his practice was during what he termed “the golden age of medicine.” He also…

Better Democracy Idea.

I have been wondering for a few years now what democracy means. It seems to me that it has never really existed, in representative democracy we vote for our leaders but in-between the elections officials and intelligence agency personnel (the real policymakers) seem to do whatever they wish, including privatization of public services and therefore introducing economic competition and commission type incentives to areas that should be for the welfare of people rather than reducing people to…

A “True” Story Posted by My Grandfather to Facebook, or What Older Generations Really Think of Young People

A “True” Story Posted by My Grandfather to Facebook, or What Older Generations Really Think of Young People

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's…

Neosocialism - My New Philosophy.

I have started a blog on Wordpress where I can start working on and promoting Neosocialism. The goal of Neosocialism is to develop a philosophy which combines atheism, socialism, information freedom with scientific and technological progress. The goal is to develop and implement a new vision for the future of humanity in space.

The current economic, social and government systems are inappropriate for a life in space and for the future. If we all them to proceed then humanity is doomed…

Atheistic Liberalism vs. Non-theistic Community

This post is prompted by some discussions among members of a local atheist group about building an atheist community.

My ideas orignate from several months of thought on the subject of community.  A recent discussion thread in the groups online forum included descriptions of an Oregon-based community youth church, comments about the Flatirons Community Church (currently the second largest church in Colorado, based on weekly attendance), and another member's advocacy for recreating…

Why are Christians conservative?

Whether it's a well-known concept or not, the hypocrisy of modern Christians is startling. Well, not startling when you realize (to even their admittance) that they do not read their own Bible. But startling to us who have, and have gleaned from its pages some positive things.

Don't get me wrong, the Old Testament is worth being burned (and as a hard-core reader, who faints when the page of a book is torn, that's something for me to…

Mondo Diablo Episode 289: Lassie's Christmas

When I was hunting for something to chop up for you, I realized I hadn't really, truly included a depressing Christmas Special for you yet, so here it is. Every year that "Lassie" was on, there was a depressing Christmas special episode. Some more depressing than others. I assure you, however, that Lassie's getting injured is not part of this particular episode. This one involved rather the true spirit… Continue

I’VE HAD ENOUGH OF THE LIBERAL PRESS AND THE PROGRESSIVES IN THIS COUNTRY

Ok so there are those against having health care for everyone in the United States.

They have it in England, Germany, France, Canada, and a whole list of others.

Of course, there are those who in those countries who do not like it. Then they just need to pay for their own coverage.

Funny thing is, having been in the insurance game the first thing you learn is that there will be someone who’ll call up and tell you they are tired of their employer’s health care plan. They… Continue

It’s time for a good old fashioned rant: Utopianist Idiots

A utopia is a perfect (or close too it) society free from the problems that plague real societies. You can find utopianists throughout the spectrum's but mostly on the edges. Authoritarians are utopianits as well are anarchists, there are atheistic utopianists who thing if we get rid of religion the world will be at peace and there are theocratic utopianists who believe if everyone and every government followed their religion the world would be a peace and there are…

Stupidynamics, or Neo-[insert] socialism / fascism / theism / atheism

Or, (Occam's razor)^-1, the flipside.

The jury is out as to whether a brutal encounter with tragedy flips a person into religiosity or atheism - I don't think its a debate that will ever be settled, because I don't think there is an answer. It all depends on each individual's wiring. That thing that happened on 9/11 pushed me from indifferent agnosticism, to committed atheism with the realisation that there is nothing harmless about religion - that it is capable of… Continue

Spreading the Wealth

I was on my way back from Home Depot today, and I saw a guy holding a sign that said "Homeless." I'll freely admit that I hardly ever (if never) give money to these people. Sure, it's sad that some of them are very broken down in the realm of hope and motivation. But at the same time, I'm always skeptical over whether or not they are even homeless or just lazy fucks who make their living off a scam.

In any event, the thought of how giving them money is a form of "spreading the… Continue
