Please help this important women's rights documentary get made!

Readers, you may have recently noticed on my sidebar a plea to help to Brooklyn-based filmmakers, Lana Wilson and Martha Shane, raise funds for their documentary "Trust Women," which takes a look at Dr. LeRoy Carhart and Dr. Warren Hern, two of the last physicians in the country who continue to perform late-term abortions. Whether they realize it or not, the directors are documenting the tale of two American doctors who stand up to terrorism everyday. I had the chance… Continue

Will God put his abortion practice on hold for 40 Days for Life campaign?

In a recent press release David Bereit, national director of 40 Days for Life, said, “With abortion advocates trying to exploit the current health care reform debate to mandate taxpayer funding of abortion. We are incredibly encouraged to see record numbers of people in cities across America willing to take a stand by participating in 40 Days for Life to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves and seek God's protection for innocent children in the womb -- and mothers -- at risk of… Continue

Abortion

I use to be "pro-life" (code for anti abortion) because (quite frankly) I was STUPID! Here is what I think now:

As a former youth minister, I would set up scenarios with unsuspecting kids about who to throw out on a boat... and that they would always end up "aborting" someone important, like the pope or Beethoven.

HOWEVER, why didn't anyone say back to me, "But what if Hitler's mom had an abortion?" Bada bing.

Why doesn't anyone ever say, "WTF, god... you… Continue

Being Atheist must mean you are pro-abortion!

Watch this video. Make sure you have some hard liquor near you or you might attempt to punch the screen. Do not attempt this, you will damage your screen and possibly hurt your hand.

First of all, no one is really Pro-abortion. Really its for the right to be able to have one or not.

Mr. Geerup's entire argument here is that every fetus or zygote has a unique set of DNA so it is 'special' and aborting said fetus… Continue

Pro Life Atheists?

I just came from this group as I was intrigued how one could be Anti Choice without also believing that a soul is created at the moment of conception. I mean isn't that the only real basis for being Anti Choice? If not then I guess the argument is that Society should intervene in an adult Woman's reproductive rights and force her to carry a child to term because...... I just don't know? Doesn't it have to be that something magical happens at conception and that the rights of a zygote now trumps… Continue

Orthodox Mormon intolerance

Nathan Young That's true Jonathan Brown.  At one time I was a member of the MRA board when it was more open towards hearing an orthodox Mormon views on things.  Since that time the MRA is now under the stewardship of a new 'religion' the 'Society for Humanistic Mormonism' which is merely another apostate religion.  It will fail just like all other apostate forms of Mormonism have failed including might I add the Mormon "Transhumanist" Association and their kind, and all the front…

Hello fellow atheists!  I have joined this site in an attempt to find other rational individuals, such as myself, and to promote a current charity drive that I am trying to get going for the Oklahoma tornado victims.  I have managed to get many groups from around my area, including the Beyond Belief Foundation to back me on this endeavor.

I am located in Newnan, Ga and have my own atheist group entitled "Coweta County Atheists".  I am currently being backed by Spaulding Co.…
