According to an article, by Nick Rees, in The Daily Telegraph, the Catholic Church conducted a conference in Rome to combat the dangers of…

The evil of Pope Benedict XVI

In a recent visit to London, the Holy Vicar of Christ continues with the past lies of the Catholic Church, continues to shirk the responsibility of his Church, and continues to spread misconceptions that are obviously false.…

Chewin' the fat over how religion gets started with Tony.

I was chatting earlier with a fellow atheist Tony and we got talking about the origins of religion. We covered quite a swathe of topics, and I thought I'd like to preserve this exchange. It starts with him reply to someone else comment about atheism, communism and Marx.

The reason behind Catholic Clerical Pedophilia

Why are there so many Catholic priests who molest little children, especially boys, all around the world?

I'll start a list:
1. Their religion forbids them to marry or engage in sexual activity. They are to be celibate for life, or risk losing their careers and livelihood and dignity. Is this not already a sick act? 'Take off your hat!'

I shot a wedding in a Catholic church yesterday.

It was at a church in the middle of Delano, California and that church was surrounded by churches of all sorts of denominations. In this town, every street has a church and I can understand why - if you lived in Delano, you'd need religion too.

The lead photographer, our assistant and I arrive at the church and we begin to set up our cameras, getting test shots and figuring out where we can be to get the best shots. In order… Continue

The Bible vs. Love

Moral dilemmas are our gadflies, the weak spots of any philosophy, and by extension, of any religion. When one highly esteemed virtue battles with another of equal merit, reflective people the world over turn to their philosophy or faith to make peace between the two. But how would your favorite life-enhancing ethic deal with the following:

  • Does your duty to “crown & country” outweigh your…
