I'm just wondering if it's a bug or if I've been gotcha'd by a moderator.
I've an inquiry in with the A|N Admin so we'll see where that goes. Meanwhile a more generalised question - is it just me or has anyone else experienced this?

How do I get that damn-blasted Tweets button off my screen? I don't want it there. I never asked for it. As far as I can see, the only thing it does is block the left side of my screen, covering other things that I do want to see. Not everyone is a tweetaholic. If this is an example of the "improvements" Brother Richard has been bragging about, I want no part of it. HOW DO I TURN THE FUCKING THING OFF?????

I saw some of AN members complain about that there there is no way to be informed about new discussions or blogs ,comments and ... so I decide to write this post to guide them. Here I am going to introduce RSS and a feed reader so if you already know these subject this post will not be useful for you ( I know RSS is not new technology and many people already use it but still many other don't know any thing about it)
I ll try to write in the simplest way without any technical info or… Continue

I thought Atheist Nexus was about the eradication of religious beliefs, yet Scientology is advertised in the right-hand panel under Bill Payers.
I have all the facts I need about Scientology. In short, it's a nut-job cult.
In the OT levels, Hubbard explains how to reverse the effects of past-life trauma patterns that supposedly extend millions of years into the past. Among these advanced teachings is the story of Xenu (sometimes… Continue

And for Casey, I had one too many drinks at karaoke and ended up drawing a caricature of him while everyone else was picking out their playlist:
And here's my Christmas gift to Atheist Nexus. You've now been held in the arms of Jebus.…

I look at my search engine results quite a bit and have noticed that several people find my blog by typing in the phrase, “How to come out as an atheist” so I’ve decided to write a bit from my own experience for those who are seeking inspiration.
Step One: Realize you’re an atheist. This may seem to be a given but for the longest time people will have the knowledge that they don’t believe in a god and still label themselves otherwise. You’re an atheist. If you can’t share this with… Continue

So, I'm new here, and I though I should introduce myself.
My name is Johan, and I live with my girlfriend Jasmine and my cat Pixel in the south of Sweden, which is a country in the north of Europe.
I don't come from a very religious background, altough my mother together with her relatives are christians. Religion really has had no place in our lives, other than at weddings and such things that we've attended.
However, just a couple of days ago I called my mother to… Continue

I would come here more often, except there isn't really much to do. Sure, you can make blog and forum posts, as well as watch and add videos, but not much else and those things are relatively standard on sites, such as this. Maybe, in the future, more unique things will be added to give the user something a little different to pass the time with. For now, though, there's not much to make the Nexus stand out.
Also, it still has some quirks, such as not being able to delete videos,… Continue

So, I've been on Atheist Nexus for a little while now. So far I find the place to be fun, inspiring, and quite friendly. It's been a great experience. While I'd love to donate tons of mad cash, I don't have it. But I read my new friend Hessenroots
' most recent blog post about donating, and thought, hey, what a great idea!
Hess just started a CafePress shop
to sell all… Continue

Last night I wrote a satirical blog entry that got a couple comments on it... seemingly positive, but then one commenter asked me if my post was supposed to be funny. I wrote that no one is supposed to take the post seriously. But now, it seems that my blog entry has been deleted for me. And I haven't been notified about it or warned. If I wrote something inappropriate, I'd really like to know. Has anyone been experiencing deleted blog entries? If this has been done on purpose, then I will be… Continue

One of the advantages church-going theists have over non-believers is community. They know that in their church they are accepted, supported and cared about. Non-believers have no such support system. We make our own friends, perhaps relying on our other interests (i.e. hobbies) to provide us with a sense of community.
Perhaps that's why I'm such an advocate of forums and atheist websites. I joined my first forum (Lockergnome) in 2001, and since that moment have tried to establish a… Continue

What a roller coaster of a ride it's been!
When I first heard about the Atheist Nexus a few days ago, I thought it a brilliant idea. The fact that over 1,000 people signed up in just a few days points out that this was something needed.
Then, this morning, a revelation is posted in the forum that there is a christian site sharing fax and telephone numbers... then the finding of a prayer being submitted by the administrator just a few months ago... shortly… Continue
