Some pearls of (un)wisdom from a creationist on facebook.

"You are checking theism with twisted, naturalistic logic. The two are completely incompatible, and thus one cannot define the other. That is the greatest fallacy of those who support Naturalism, thinking that they have an upper hand in defining the undefinable."

"If God wanted himself to be able to be tested by his own creation, then we could do so. We can't, and thus He doesn't."

"Since God works 100% through natural methods (meaning he rarely comes down to earth and… Continue

Shameless Self-Promotion of My Debate with Phil Fernandes

Please pardon the shameless self-promotion, but the video of my 1999 debate with Phil Fernandes on naturalism vs. theism was uploaded to YouTube some time…

The glory of sin!

Timothy Keller informs us that we can get that true happiness by acknowling that we are sinners! God would then take away that guilt of sin and make us truly happy. We must never tempt Him by sinning, but we'll sin and get that absolution. When bad things happen, we can still have happiness as knowing that He loves and protects us.

As His own  son,  [amongst His others who had children by…

Why suffer the oxymoronic obfuscation of theism?

Why  should one beieve or disbelieve in the supernatural?

What counts as evidence for it? We naturalists-rationalists find none. Why, none can present it self, because that would go agianst our conservation of knowedge. Nature presents no divine intent as Lamberth's teleonomic argument notes and thus cannot affirm His very existence but can affirm that no divine intent presents itself…

Naturalism, another philosophy to consider

Are you a Naturalist? If you believe that existence encompasses everything, that there’s nothing supernatural, that our best knowledge is gleaned from scientific effort, then you very well may be a naturalist! The word derives from ‘nature’ and the definition is simple – “nature is all there is, and all basic truths are truths of nature”.…

Anthropa: Humanism in Action

Anthropa is a concept to bring a positive and active Humanism to the fore, somewhere between UUism and Humanism, where we can celebrate our several cultures that bind and enrich us with Humanism supplanting superstition; and with hope, to provide and enlightenment charity and outreach to the community at large. If you've been to far too many group meetings where the focus is on bashing the superstitious rather than celebrating life, love and nature,… Continue

The Metaphysical Naturalist

After my first posting the day I joined Nexus, someone asked, "What is a metaphysical naturalist?" He could as easily have asked, "What is a naturalist?"

There are many kinds of naturalists, which for almost 3000 years has meant that whether or not a god exists, everything in the world is natural and operates on natural laws.

But actual, true atheism was almost unheard of in ancient Greece. Atheism was the mere denial that the many thousands of gods that were believed to exist had… Continue
