Accidental gospel study

For the last couple days I've been working on writing a comedic parody of the life of the character Jesus. I won't tell you my storyline yet, but rest assured it's a laugh to write and hopefully it will be to read when done. An interesting consequence though of this project is that it's giving me the closest look I've had at the gospels since I was a kid and I'm noticing things I never did before.

I Need Help

Long story short, I'm starting up a Commedia dell 'Arte troupe and I need help with a name (and especially translating it into Italian!)



Here's the thing though, I don't want the name to specifically use the term Commedia because that may not be ALL we perform. While that will be what we start out with, we may also do some shortened Shakespeare plays along the lines of the Reduced Shakespeare Company in the future.

Heathen - pejorative or nomenclature?

Like every other group of people with common interests at heart over the ages, we, too, have our own label - "atheists". Whether one likes it or not, we just have the need to label everything. But, labels eventually spawn counterparts - slurs, insults, slang, name(calling). Ours, though not directed at atheists in particular, would be "heathen".

Neat New Labels

We all love labels. Who doesn't? It's a way to tell someone a lot of information about a person without having to explain a lot. This can get us into a lot of trouble when labels are ambiguous or in transitional states. For example, atheism/theism/agnosticism. The zeitgeist right now seems to be the following:

-Atheists actively believe there are no gods.
