I'm taking my stand against the christians and to lead by example of spreading our words of reason and reality.

Christians in general are some of the most scariest people of all the religions on this planet. They force there beliefs on you and if you don't believe them they will beat you, yell at you, and tell you lies to try to scare you into believing what they want you too. Only people who have the brain to think for themselves and make there own opinions are the strong ones because we can think for ourselves. In the words of Corey Taylor "Angels lie to keep control" If you look at most of…

The Internet: Where religions come to die

I watched an interesting video about how religions/cults survive and how the internet could spell a downward spiral for religion because of the free flow of ideas.

I say good riddance to religion. Science survives in spite of strong scrutiny from all sides who have an incentive to disprove the theory (to gain some intellectual kudos). Science has proven itself to be true. It was science that took man to…

Podcasting

I love podcasts. I've been listening to them for a couple years now, because I found Skeptics' Guide to the Universe, Skeptoid, and Scientific American. There are so many good podcasts out there, and such a huge diversity. Chariots of Iron, SGU, Skepticality, This American Life, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, etc etc.

What initially draws you to a podcast- the topic, the slickness of their advertising, their format, the options they have available for their community- and just as… Continue

Who Are the (True) Atheists???

Browsing the net you will find many people leaving comments that would suggest that they are atheist. For instance on YouTube, in almost every comments section of a pro-atheist video you will find (almost) all comments made take a pro-atheist stance toward the atheistic content of the video.... I guess the guise of a user name is sorta the same as putting on a mask before going into a porn store.

It's hard to believe that all of these people are atheists. It's easier to believe that… Continue

Love stretching cultural borders

I think most people would agree that love is a strange thing. When you are in love, you loose all logic and reason. The newest way to fall in love is internet dating, which has become immensely popular during the past years. However, internet dating aside, the MMO community has recently caused a lot of weddings to be held all over the world, made people marry each other despite cultural differences, language barriers and huge distances keeping the lovers apart. It has also maybe quite… Continue

A New Kind of Social Networking Experience

Well, I'm new to Atheist Nexus, and I already like it a lot. It's neat to be on a social networking site with people who have share many of the same interests beliefs and experiences as myself, but there's still a lot of controversy and difference to keep things interesting. (I've already met a few people that I'm pissed at!) It's nice to not have to type in "religious beliefs" and worry about what people might think when they read it. It's nice to search for groups without feeling compelled to… Continue
