Hello Saudi Arabia

by Pat Condell, May 2, 2012 (#109)

Transcribed by AtheistExile.com

I’ve had a few emails, recently, from people in Saudi Arabia who seem genuinely puzzled about why I criticize their country. A country,…

Psychological association calls for legalization of same-sex marriage

Interesting to see that the APA is finally calling for the legalization of same sex marriage.

As we saw same sex marriages in NY just weeks ago this seems a very good move at a very good time.

The scientific and professional organization's guiding body voted unanimously at its annual meeting this week in…

Finland: Anti-Gay Campaign Doubles Average Church Resignations

(found after an initial tip scanning the blasphemieblog)

Sometimes it needs nonbelievers and rationality to get religious people out of churches. Often it's a hard and long  process. Sometimes religious people alienate others from religion. Then it is a very short process.

In Finland the religious did something remarkably good (again). They told everybody that… Continue

Ugandan Gay Rights Activist Beaten to Death

You might remember the story about the Ugandan newspaper printing the pictures of the supposed top 100 homosexuals with a rather "obvious" statement demanding their death.

Sad news with video here

Kampala, Uganda (CNN) -- A Ugandan gay rights activist whose name was published on a list of the nation's "top homosexuals" was bludgeoned to death in his…

Is It Always Right to Uphold Your Religious Convictions?

found via AtheistMedia

I must say it is not easy for me to form a decision here. Contrary to some people in the discussion i think that people running a PRIVATE business should be entitled to their prejudice including racism.

The only requirement I would have is that this… Continue

Church Resignations exceed 20,000 after TV show about homosexuality

What does it take these days to get people out of church?

Obviously in some regions of the world it is sufficient to let the church speak out and inform the people about its basic teachings.

After a TV discussion programme on homosexuality in Finnland people flee the church like they would flee a stinking corpse.…

The evil of Pope Benedict XVI

In a recent visit to London, the Holy Vicar of Christ continues with the past lies of the Catholic Church, continues to shirk the responsibility of his Church, and continues to spread misconceptions that are obviously false.…

While there’s no dearth of people in all walks of life who end up disappointing those who look up to them, it does seem that extremist Christian Crusaders win the Public Fall from Grace Award with extraordinary… Continue

Homosexuality: Is It Inborn?

Before anyone completely flies off the handle at me, I support the Gay and Lesbian community. I have no problem with gay marriage, gay rights, or gay adoption, in fact I encourage it ESPECIALLY gay adoption. There are so many children in this world who need a family who can provide them with love and good home and I disagree with anybody who wants to deny a child a family based off something as trivial as sexual preference.

This post is basically asking others opinions of the idea… Continue

IS GOD SECRETLY GAY?

The Jewish-Christian divinity is depicted as rabidly homophobic in the pages of the Old Testament, in the annuls of the Vatican and in the sermons of many Christian hot heads. What can we make of this in the light of modern psychological research?

We are told in the Hebrew book of Genesis that Yahweh (or El) made man in his own image. I guess that means that this god, like his earthly son, comes with male sexual organs attached. We don't know much about what the Almighty Father does… Continue

Sexual Dichotomy

This blog is on sexuality in general, encompassing homosexuality and heterosexuality.

I went to college for psychology with a concentration in sexuality and human relationships. Through my exploits of sexuality and human interaction I have noticed a few things.

1: Everyone can distinguish between an attractive male AND female. For instance, I am straight but if I see an attractive guy I am comfortable enough to say so.

2: Everyone likes to feel good about… Continue
