IS THE POPE A DRONGO?
What's this I read?
The pope agrees that good Atheists being good can assist in their getting to heaven.
ROFL!
A rather pointless gesture or olive branch to Atheists.
He seems to believe that Atheists would like to get into heaven.
Hardly!!!!
Many are Atheists because they think the Christian heaven is definitely not only non-existent, but it isn't any sort of a mythical place they'd even think of going if they did believe in it.
Maybe the…

First off, I'd like to say that if anyone could give me hard evidence of the existence of
a goD and this evidence could be tested by Scientists and proven to be true then I
would crawl through 100 miles of razor sharp glass just to kiss goDs feet. Simply
put, I am open minded to a certain point. The bIBLE can not be used as hard
evidence because it is a book of stories written 2000+ years ago, by humans that
were very ignorant of the reality around them. Plus, many of the…

I bent the binding of The Good Atheist, Living a Purpose-Filled Life Without God, by Dan Barker, in hopes that I would either come out of it in some way affirmed or finally have a resource for a person struggling with the decision to let go of their faith. When I closed the book, I felt like a sore eared member of the choir. The majority of Barker’s book is an appeal to authority and celebrity, a mishap of astonishing proportion when speaking about, to, or for, a community that…

Good influences
Recently I wrote a post on my public blog about my Aunt Eleanor, who was a terrific influence on me when I was a teenager. She was an artist and interior designer, a beatnik (this was in the late 50s) and a freethinker.
She introduced me to philosophy and to people who actually lived and breathed it. Finally I was with people who wondered what life was all about and considered the big questions.
Of course, my major inspiration in life came from books, in the long run. But Aunt…

How Atheists can help mankind using their computers
I've been a member of the World Community Grid for several years now and finally decided to join the atheist and agnostics team instead of having my PC run alone in the vast universe of WCGs members. The best way to show a ludicrous pseudo-moral theistic…

Children Good Without God
"I'd like to learn something as a good father from you. Considering that you're an atheist, how can teach your children how to behave in good manner and ethic. Because when I was a kid, my parents used to tell me "Be good boy and tidy your room then God will bless you...etc." I don't want to say these words to my children as a prospective father. And i wonder what do you…Continue

What kind of father is HE anyway?
Raccoons, rats, sharks and flat worms find their food in nature. All they have to do is find it and take it. Most of them succeed, since as far as I know those species have existed for millions of years and are still with us today. So it’s fair to say that a large number of…
