Before Hitler came to power the Catholic Church spread anti-Jewish remarks. They spread hate agents Jews saying that they killed Jesus. This is not the act of just one crazy pope but a ton of popes over a long period of time. All the religious lies and hate piled up. Then a large depression came to… Continue

When a theist starts to babble on about how god is moral there are a lot of ways to shut them up. One of my favorites is to talk about hell. at a first glance hell seems like jail, a place where evil people go. But when you think about it you can make hell seem not moral without even using the bible agents the… Continue

I have been, in the past, accused of endlessly whining about religion generally and Christianity specifically and not doing more about it. I respond usually that my activism has included going on marches and writing to my MP.
Here is an example of a recent exchange between me and my MP on the reform of the house of lords which proposes an increase in the religious representation and not as I would prefer the removal of this anachronistic oddity and the advance of a secular… Continue

so my drinking issue it was gotten out of hand i gor drunk and fell off the wagon hiring every bump and stone on the road that the wagon was on. i have a hangover that feels like electrical pulses are being fired off every five seconds. but this is the point in where you find a "higher" power right? god is to life me up and give me salvation no i do not have that luxury. this is simply me giving in to predisposition a self disruptive vice. but a lesson was learned that i can not play around… Continue

In my last blog, ‘My Story’ I had mentioned the misconceptions of Atheists and said that this was a topic for another day. Well, today I will talk about this topic, and why it’s important to me to rid society of these stigmas, and why in fact(in my opinion) these misconceptions exist at all.
How do any group of people get misunderstood or labeled as ‘bad’? It can stem from a number of things and really isn’t… Continue

Hi, I’m Mark, I am 24 years old, I was born an Atheist like everyone else, but early on in childhood I was introduced to Christianity. I was never baptized or ‘saved’ as they so arrogantly state.
As far back as I can remember my Mother always went to church,…

An imaginary interaction with my mother in which she poses the point "I'm at the end of my life when I must look forward to meeting my maker and going to heaven, and you want to take that away from me?". In my mind I feel her agony at the thought of it all being a lie. I know this pain because I've felt it myself. It's not all that dissimilar from the feeling I had when my father came clean about Santa Claus. It's a let down to know it was just a big scam.
In my mind I attempt to… Continue

I remember one of my many steps towards atheism was taken when I was at school. It was in history, when we leant about Custer's last stand and the events leading up to it - and finally we arrived at something called the ghost dance
- a ritual steeped in cultish logic (and unsurprisingly toxic Christian Missionaries ) seeking divine intervention from a messianic figure , the ressurection of the dead to restore the nation,… Continue

As an atheist I don't pray. To me it's no different from talking to the air, or to the ceiling if I'm laying on my bed. Since I know it makes no difference in this world, I don't give up to such wishful thinking. However, I have friends who do pray. I think we all have. One of them is a pastor, a really nice guy who for me is kind of hard to see as the… Continue

It's pretty sad that good people rely on a
absentee sky daddy. Many good christians pray for husbands to stop
cheating, as Elizabeth did (her husband left with the other women) Pray
for cancer to be healed (she died from it) At the end she even changed
her perception of god that she would live again to see dead family
members (which she wont) It is all a big hoax. very sad. … Continue

Holy cow — the atheists are proselytizing! I unveil Connecticut Valley Atheists' latest offering to the Vernon Green and demonstrate how the myths of religion and Santa Claus teach believers to behave in order to earn a reward, while atheism offers the only path to true, unrewarded morality in this week's CVA Vlog.…

I couldn't help myself last week, when a man was coming through the attraction i worked at, at ScreamPark and yelled "Do you think God would approve of this?" I stopped for a sec, looked back over at him, using his phone to get through, pussy. So i just walked up behind him and said "Of course not, thats why i asked the magical fairy. He said go for it, so im with him now!" And just walked off, he got so pissed that he went to find me, screaming "God will not forgive that comment, he will… Continue

When many people hear about things like genetic modification, geoengineering, etc, many scream “Your playing god!” Well in a sense we are gods. Look at us, look at what we have done, look at what we can do. We can communicate with people on the other side of the world with small devices we hold to our heads, we can heat food by putting in in a metal box, we can cure diseases that have plagued humanity for thousands of years, we can build buildings hundreds of stories tall, we can fly faster… Continue
