When we toss our soul, what do we gain?

Our numbers are so few!  Even though I hear "more people are 'coming out' all the time," there's still a very tiny number of us.  Why is it that we have such a hard time finding people willing to admit to being atheist even when statistics indicate there are millions of us in this country?  I have an idea.

Atheism has nothing to offer.  We can get all freaky over reason, science, common sense.  We can prove religion is wrong all day long.  We can invalidate religion until we're blue…

My atheist Chistmas story!

     I have always enjoyed the holidays with my family, although we never celebrated the religious aspect of them. My parents are nonbelievers who did not want to influence us on religion.

     We have this tradition for Thanksgiving that brings real meaning for the day. Before we eat, when most families would pray, each of us would go around the table and acknowledge the things we are thankful…

End Week

Just a short one today, as we here at Rancho Taylor kick off End Week. I know, I know, many people call it Christmas or some other name. In my home, being as we are such a unique combination of people, I call it End Week. A celebration of another year closing and the promise of a new adventure in the year to come.
