Nobody talks about it, especially Republicans even though it is election season. The corporate media avoid it with studied efficiency. Even in Dallas, the city he now calls home there is scant evidence that former President George W. Bush resides there. I live in Dallas and in the years the former president has lived here there has been scant evidence of that fact.…

History is a funny thing. The more I live through the more out of touch with history I have become. There was a time when a first person account of a historical event was deemed primary evidence when assessing both the event itself and the implications that followed from the event. Now eye-witness accounts are treated as 'anecdotal evidence' as if they were some story I made up about what happened even though it happened in front of my eyes and to me. Unless they mesh with the received… Continue

In every Presidential election I hear the same line: It’s the economy stupid. I don’t claim to be a genius, but I think that I could safely say that in this election it is not the economy. It is about rights, gay rights and women’s rights. Those should be the two main issues that task the political landscape. Politicians will deflect comments that are made in their party and state that “We should talk about things that are really important, jobs and the economy.”
That’s bullshit. The… Continue

This post is the first installment of a three-part series examining the question: Is it fair to question Mitt Romney's Mormonism?
“[T]he kingdom of God... is to be a POLITICAL INSTITUTION THAT SHALL HOLD SWAY OVER ALL THE EARTH; TO WHICH ALL OTHER GOVERNMENTS WILL BE SUBORDINATE AND BY WHICH THEY WILL BE DOMINATED.” B. H Roberts, The Rise and Fall of Nauvoo, 1900, p. 180 … Continue

The presidential election is here and I am going to do the same thing I did before, vote for myself. I think there would be an extreme case in which I vote for someone else. Does this sound selfish, I don't mean it to be selfish it just feels right to me. I do not expect to win nor do I really want the job. I do it because I know that there will not be a legitamite candidate and I want to continue practicing my voting rights in respect for all of our civil rights. I can't see voting… Continue

Every commercial break an ad for some asshole candidate comes on. Every fucking commercial break. There is nothing positive in these commercials. They are nothing but quote mining, lies of omission, perversions of facts, straight lies and calling the other candidates "liberal" (as if anyone in this fucking state know what liberal means). I'm sick and tired of hearing about it. None of these idiots know what the fuck they are doing. No, that not true, they know what they are doing they are… Continue

If you want to know my view about this before the election or you need some more info please visit my previous post.

These days Iran experiences a new political atmosphere which has affected most people. it is because of coming Tenth presidential election I think this new atmosphere has brought us some positive points:
for the first time we watched TV disputation between candidates and these disputation cleared many things for all people (perhaps because it was the first time) . It revealed how greedy they are for power . In these disputations Ahmadinejad proved that he doesn't know any thing about… Continue

I've emerged from my secret hiding cave of secrecy to celebrate a new presidency and a new era of (hopefully) fantastic things.
I do not have that much to say, but I guess maybe something should fill in all this space.
I'm still in love with Kelly, and she with me, so I've always got that going for me, if nothing else.
LOVE YOU KELLY!
I also happen to have a screaming chicken staring at… Continue

I know, I know... i skipped the 'indivisible' bit, but I think it's pretty clear this country can be divided. Especially on grounds of race and religion here in good old Ala-damn-bama. Anyway, I sent out an e-mail to a few members of my family today I was so giddy about Obama's nomination. I guess you could say I am tickled pink! (<-- I can get away with this phrase, I'm from the South ;P )
Yes WE did! I am proud of my country for the first time in my adult life, and glad that… Continue

I copied my rant bulletin that I made for MySpace last night.
I want to blog it here since I might be leaving MySpace completely just to make my life less complicated. I titled this "Happiness". It's a bit raw. :
338 to 163 and still a few more to go.
I'm very happy that our needs were heard.
I knew that we would win, but I did not expect that such a high percentage of the nation would understand the change that we need.
The great… Continue

I was on my way back from Home Depot today, and I saw a guy holding a sign that said "Homeless." I'll freely admit that I hardly ever (if never) give money to these people. Sure, it's sad that some of them are very broken down in the realm of hope and motivation. But at the same time, I'm always skeptical over whether or not they are even homeless or just lazy fucks who make their living off a scam.
In any event, the thought of how giving them money is a form of "spreading the… Continue

Obama's got this election wrapped up now.
He could spend the rest of this campaign just sitting at his breakfast table, sipping a cup of coffee, and posting clips about his plans for our nation on YouTube for all I care; he's the man!

How should a non-theist who values the separation of state vote in 2008? The quick answer, "against Sara Palin" may be too simple minded. Remember Penn Gillette's' warning that the lesser of two evils is still evil. Election 2008 presents a terrible dilemma. I don't have a clue as to what Atheists should do come Election Day 2008.
This is a year when no Atheist should feel entirely at ease in casting their vote. Any way I look at it, I will either feel guilty for what I "supported"… Continue

Watch as McCaininite Tucker Bounds gets put against the ropes trying to defend Palin's qualifications. His "I know you are but what am I" style responses are expected (throwing the entire question aside to attack Obama) but then tries to claim that Palin has military command experience, making her perfect for the role of defacto commander in cheif!
Apparently her "command" of the Alaska National Guard makes her totally qualified to be president should need… Continue

A writer in your previous town of resident wrote a gem of an editorial
about the presidential hopefuls' religious pissing contest. I was surprised something like this could come out of Texas.
Maybe Alabama will be next.
