I've lived the last year in San Francisco CA and am about to move back to SC. I encountered the same argument for the bible here that i have in every country I've been in. "Because the bible says so". That's not an argument considering the bible is NOT a historic record. For the majority the gospels written about Jesus were written 100-200 years after he died.
