It seems over the last decade we have more things to be afraid of.
Between the advent of engineered disease, and surreptitious attacks of mind boggling computer viruses that could potentially bring down banking systems globally, it would seem we need to look at everything we… Continue

Please note this is an unedited first draft. it's really the only way i can get posts up. otherwise i start re-reading, re-writing, editing, and i never finish it and nothing gets put up. even if no one reads it, i need an online home for these ideas; i feel like they need to be shared, even in their roughest of stages. like my other blog posts, this will be edited, re-written, and… Continue

Greeting from The Project
In our first episode we discussed geoengineering as a solution to our growing environmental woes. But some believe large scale geoengineering is already underway, possibly for better but almost certainly for worse. No one quite knows the culprit, but their methods are clear: chemtrails! In this edition of Alternatives to thoughts, we discuss this and many other nefarious plots, from mind control to social… Continue

This one's from a BBC documentary about the possible alternative scenarios to Jesus Christ's reanimation from the dead. Pretty credulous, but worth a listen!

Does anyone think I need to celebrate because we have a big, round, and soft number here? I mean, should I wait until 500? That could be a long time from now.
Anti-irregardless, I hope everyone knows that this is one way to find out about what I'm doing, but there's also Facebook, which I, uh, "do." You can find "my facebook" at… Continue

This is a two-parter, so today you'll be getting the first half of "It's a Conspiracy," which includes clips from The Hitler Channel's "Secret Societies," with crazy old David Icke. Now, some of you may be familiar with Icke from Alex Jones and the like, so you may not know that Icke thinks there's a race of alien lizard people disguising themselves as powerful leaders. He really thinks this. Hey--some… Continue

Am I imagining things or does the Tea Party look a hell of a lot like
the John Birch Society of the 1960's? I listen to their conspiracy and
anti government lines and wonder if they read an old John Birch pamphlet
for their platform? They even site some of the same false history that
has been debunked for decades? Do these folks even read history? If
they did, they would see how much they are repeating it.

I wrote up this report regarding some very chilling accusations of malpractice against one Dr. Colin A. Ross. If you've heard of him at all, you probably know him as a recipient of the James Randi Educational Foundation Pigasus Award for his claim - unproven still - that he is capable of emitting detectable beams of energy from his eyes. Not only does the story of Colin Ross make a good argument for the case against supernaturalism, but you'll note in the interview that his aggrieved former… Continue

I run a Skeptics in the Pub here in Huntsville- next one in February, be on the look out. I'm interested in how many people self identify as "Skeptics". And what they think are interesting subjects. Yes, I'm shamelessly asking for relevant topics for my events to focus on; but I'm also just curious what other people think about.
Equally interesting, to me, is what non-skeptics think about things like UFOs, Bigfoot, Medical Quackery (homeopathy, chriopractic, acupuncture, etc),… Continue

Praise "Bob!" Here I have for you a wonderful old sermon (the oldies are the best, aren't they?) from Reverend Ivan Stang of the Church of the SubGenius, given around the time the Ice-T hit "Cop Killer" was in the news for being somehow a NEW theme in rock 'n' roll. A "new" theme that proves that what adults have been saying for (literally) millenia is right: Kids These Days are Out of Control and it's… Continue

I have been meaning to blog about this topic for a long time now, so it's good that I get this off my chest. The History Channel isn't a bad channel, by any means, as far as TV channels go. It often has some very interesting, educational programs on it. However, I do have a beef with it.
The History Channel will often give quite a bit of credence to nonsense. Spiritual nonsense, that is. It will broadcast the opinions of any UFO-ologist, ghost-believing "medium", or even a… Continue

A Turkish creationist's stunt contest offering 7.5 trillion
lira or $4.6 trillion U.S. is still open and will be for a very long time. But can you expect anything else from someone who thinks that evolution is a Zionist/Freemason conspiracy to enslave his countrymen?

I tend to humor conspiracy theory proponents. They’re typically quiet, generally decent humans and more or less harmless as far as I’m concerned. Getting into a debate with one has the potential to be as mind-numbingly painful (not to mention useless) as debating a fundamentalist christian but if you just let them ramble on and nod every once and a while you can escape without tearing out your hair. I don’t believe this brand of lunacy should go on unchecked but when they person you’ve come… Continue
