Even More catholic Whining

Back on June 13, 2011, I wrote the blog post More catholic Whining, in which I described the situations happening in some States like New York and Illinois, involving certain catholic charities having issues with their states making it illegal to discriminate against straight couples in common law relationships and to discriminate against gay couples when providing fostering and adoption services. I’VE HAD ENOUGH OF THE LIBERAL PRESS AND THE PROGRESSIVES IN THIS COUNTRY

Ok so there are those against having health care for everyone in the United States.

They have it in England, Germany, France, Canada, and a whole list of others.

Of course, there are those who in those countries who do not like it. Then they just need to pay for their own coverage.

Believers in faith healing could be exempted from mandates, and faith healers could be paid with federal funds, if health care reform provisions under consideration are adopted by Congress. A petition has been launched to ask… Continue

Can holy water cure the Swine Flu? Spolier Alert: No, but that won't stop some from selling it.

As can be demonstrated throughout history, religions do all they canto insert themselves into aspects of people's lives in which they have no business. "Good parents" bring their children to church; How many catholic hospitals are there around the U.S.?, How many religious schools?

There was a time when medical health and "spirituality" went hand in hand. Most 'hospitals,' which at that time were… Continue

When Tweeters and Callers Unite!

October 20th will go down in history. Or, maybe October 20th will be a trending topic on history's pages. Maybe October 20th will cease to exist, mysteriously combined with October 21st.

Digital multi-minimalists (aka Twitter users) all around the globe stumbled upon a phenomenon yesterday. They either found it to be monumentally self-affirming (as did I) or soul-shattering. What is the phenomenon, you ask? It was the temporarily trending topic, "No God." Blasphemy, they cried!… Continue

Doctors Say Yes To The Public Option

On August 20th, a collection of doctors in Santa Rosa, California, assembled on a corner and lobbied the public to support the public health care option. EmpireReport.org reporter, John Stiffler, interviewed some of the doctors and created a video. What do you think?

Doctors Demonstrate for a Public Option in Health Care Reform!!! from Jon Stiffler on…

End Week

Just a short one today, as we here at Rancho Taylor kick off End Week. I know, I know, many people call it Christmas or some other name. In my home, being as we are such a unique combination of people, I call it End Week. A celebration of another year closing and the promise of a new adventure in the year to come.

And this last year marks a huge milestone for my family. After 14 very long, very painful years of being care givers to elderly parents, we are now retired from that job.… Continue
