The Insightful Mortal

Hello Guys, From the last few days, I started writing a book to explain people about rationality and logic. It's still far from completion, but I would like to know about your feedbacks and how could I improve the contents. The link is    http://shivamath.blogspot.in/2014/05/the-insightful-mortal.html

Thanks a lot,

Shivam

The Book Of Life

I have been often troubled by the many mortal human attitudes and behaviors many different deities have taken on in various holy texts. Petty emotions like jealously, bigotry, hate, anger, and lust, to name a few. All of these…

UNdeniable

It is no mistake that nearly half of the American population doesn’t attend church as over the past 30 years religion turned intolerant.

“UNChristian,” reveals why it is happening, but surprisingly doesn't recognize the role of Christianity, the group that nurtures them, as a part of the reason for…

A Reluctant Review: Joseph Prince's "Destined to Reign"

I am a compulsive reader. I'll read nearly anything. Last night my wife brought home a book given to her by a work acquaintance. Apparently, the lady thought I needed to read a Christian book after she read my most recent publishing, "The 80%…

Chefs In Black

An issue of my webcomic guest starring a certain Muslim prophet, goes online in some 24 hours. Am I nervous? Fuck yeah.

True, our readership is currently small and I don't expect anyone will even notice, but I am tense nevertheless. I'm glad we stuck to our guns and didn't fall into the trap of fear-induced self-censorship that so many others do. Still, if anyone ever says that Islam is a religion of peace, call bullshit on them. I never lost a minute of sleep over an issue…

A Bible For Believers And Nonbelievers Alike

What if you took the Bible and edited out all the supernatural references and got to the core of its ethical teachings? That’s not quite what the new release by…

Book Review: The Good Atheist - That's what he/she said!

I bent the binding of The Good Atheist, Living a Purpose-Filled Life Without God, by Dan Barker, in hopes that I would either come out of it in some way affirmed or finally have a resource for a person struggling with the decision to let go of their faith.  When I closed the book, I felt like a sore eared member of the choir.  The majority of Barker’s book is an appeal to authority and celebrity, a mishap of astonishing proportion when speaking about, to, or for, a community that…

Reading Amazon.com book reviews of The God Virus

I still haven't read Dawkins. I'm getting most my information from posts, comments, my personal experiences, and my Communication education. Most of the ideas I come up with fall in line with Hitchens, Harris, Dawkins and others, but I certainly don't mean to plagiarize anyone's work, and I would hate to put a huge effort into a book only to discover that I re-invented the wheel.

I guess I'll just have to start forking over the cash for a whole library of atheist…

Joel Olsteen's representative explains admission price.

This afternoon I was contacted by Andrea from Lakewood Church. The Houston Megachurch that Olsteen leads. When I asked her about the cost of the ticket. She explained that it covered the cost of paying

for the Scottrade Center employees and various things such as that. I tried to express my view that if this is a message that is good for everyone to hear that provision should be made for making the event

free. Andrea explained that they used to have free attendance at these events…

"Giraffes in Hiding: The Mythical Memoirs of Carol Novack:" A literary collection without serious allusions to God, blessings, and all that nonsense.

If you enjoy imaginative writing with rhythm, allegories, prose poems, and assorted fictional fusions, you might enjoy my fully illustrated collection, available at amazon.  Aside from the 5 star customer reviews, writers have said:

Life After Faith, New Book On the Way

My seventh book, Life After Faith, will be published in the next few weeks. Based on almost a half-century as an insider, it tells the story of my emergence from super-natural faith to practice a down-to-earth kind of "natural spirituality." This will not please extremists on either side of the divide! Some atheists will throw garbage and some people of faith will throw prayers, but it's a personal story of leaving faith, ordination as a Protestant Minister… Continue
