Am I Frankenstien or what?

I know I am not the only one who has thought of this, in fact I have pondered it before but with no real revelation.  This morning is a little different though.  Let me be clear, tho I am against teaching any religion period the hypocrit in me gives me thrills to think of it.  On the other hand, the psychological...science/social part of me can see real intelligence of the affect of my thought.  So here it is, in order to create more atheist thinkers teach that God is a woman. Please laugh…

Mormons! I Smite Thee in the Name of Common Sense

Get a Brain Mormans Theists, I appreciate your prayers for my heathen soul, but there’s no need. Really. I’m an atheist. I’m good. And Mormons, posthumous baptism is even more than one step over the line. That’s even more unneeded, creepy, and unwanted – unless you want to modify that whole…

Theism in a social setting.

Living in the small town area that I reside in and being a part of this still taboo minority can be rough sometimes but have no bearing on my social setting or comfort of the setting.  I have noticed it depends on the people you are around and the atheist vs. theist ratio, you won't hear a lone christian argue with a room full of atheist for very long and (depending on the atheist) vice versa.  But this isn't about argumentative bickering over who has the best idea, or just perhaps it never…

As a Christian

Xtians, Jews, Muslims (and I imagine other world religions) use speech that immediately casts a wedge between their religion and all other people (not just other religions). They casually throw out the phrase "As a Christian":

As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice. ...And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly, it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian…

Defeating the Bible , One chapter at a Time! (Genesis Chapter 4)

Chapter 4 hath arrived!!

Let’s groove tonight!!

“The man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, "I have produced a man with the help of the LORD." Next she bore his brother Abel. Abel became a keeper of flocks, and Cain a tiller of the soil. In the course of time Cain brought an offering to the LORD from the fruit of the soil, while Abel, for his part, brought one of the best firstlings of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his… Continue

If He Walks Like a Muslim and Talks Like a Muslim…

HEATHEN! - I'm not saying he's a Muslim, but he sure looks to be a born one to me.

There's nothing surprising about recent poll numbers indicating more people are "confused" about The Messiah's™ true religion than… Continue

Diary of a Wimpy Kid - A Perfect Dump and Run Movie

Sixth grader Greg Heffley learns important lessons about friendship, being a good friend and identity in Diary of a Wimpy Kid. A light-hearted, middle-school buddy movie, Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a perfect dump and run movie.

Entering middle school wasn’t as easy as Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) anticipated. Some of the kids are way bigger than him. The same things that are cool in elementary school become a badge of shame in middle school. Greg does everything he can to fit in and be… Continue

What kind of father is HE anyway?

Raccoons, rats, sharks and flat worms find their food in nature. All they have to do is find it and take it. Most of them succeed, since as far as I know those species have existed for millions of years and are still with us today. So it’s fair to say that a large number of…

Defeating the Bible--One Chapter at a Time (Genesis Chapter 2) Part 2

Defeating the Bible--One Chapter at a Time (Genesis Chapter 1)

This is to become a new segment I will be posting on Think Atheist and on Atheist Nexus.

The point of this new series of blog posts would be the weekly defeating of a chapter of the Christian Bible.

That said, let us start; in the beginning. (Pun intended)

In the first chapter of Genesis the creation of the world—in the Christian view—takes six days with one day for relaxation.

“In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was… Continue
