A Good Watch.

While I am a big fan of Court T.V. (Judge Judy is my favorite! Followed by Peoples Court). I occasionally get a yen for something more substantial. To the magical land of Youtube and I found this great 2 hour debate with Stephen Fry, Christopher Hitchens, and a Catholic Priest and a woman involved with the Catholic Church. It was polite, smart, with some smatterings of humor and of course there was the Q&A session at the end.

It's two hours long, but it's a great watch.…

Someone Tell Stephen Hawking That Magical Creation Is Impossible, That Nothingness Cannot Have A Characteristic, And That It Is Not Science That Tells Us With Certainty There Is No God

Stephen Hawking is great and happens to be correct about there not being a god, as we all know (or think we might, for all you 99%ers), and he is an excellent example of why physicists need to be reminded that they have necessary epistemological foundations to their knowledge and the ability to obtain it. 21st Centry American Slave Trade

This post is nothing new but it does bear repeating. In America, The United States of America, more than 1 percent of our population [3,000,000 people] is in jail. This is of great benefit to the prison corporations that make money off other people misery and leads to a system that is more interested in getting people in prison than having justice done.

I will post some numbers form the BBC show "QI" hosted by Stephen Fry with a four member panel and a link to that normally quite…

Chapter Eight; WHO IS ON YOUR TEAM? part thirty-five

So the top four areas of faith or lack there of, cover about 5 billion people. These are the best teams humanity has to offer for our posterity. To bad we cannot have head to head contest and the winners get the other adherents followers. A sort of “World Series of Belief”. Not so much to count numbers but to be educated in the others religion and judge it on its own merits.

Stephen Prothero in his book Religious Literacy makes the case for religion to be… Continue

"The Grand Design" by Stephen Hawking!! I finished it!!! My opinion :) short and sweet....

So I got all nervous thinking that I wasn't going to comprehend what was written in this book. After the first chapter, big sigh of relief. I'm not going to babble on about the theories and laws Hawking and Mlodinow used to lead up to their theory of how we came into existence. I think the point of this book, IS there is finally a theory.

I feel like this book was meant to put out a rational non fantasy based argument for the existence of a uni/multiverse that doesn't have god in it.… Continue
