Does God need your prayers? This is a question I placed recently to some Christian friends of mine. The answer I received was interesting, 'As Christians', they claimed 'we know that
"God does not need our prayer but he needs us to pray to him"'. 'Why' I asked, '
"Because it is one of his requirements"' they reply. So as God's creation you are required to pray to him according to Christianity.
Also, the Christian religion teach that the reason why God needs us to pray to him…

This is not surprising to me. Lying and deceiving the public are religion's national past time. These are the tactics pastors and priests etc, relied upon for years and are still relining upon to pull millions of followers into their fold and, as a result, cashing on billions of dollars.

ORIGINS OF RELIGION, MORALITY AND BELIEF—select quotations. PART 1
“If we go back to the beginning we shall find that ignorance and fear created the gods; that fancy, enthusiasm, or deceit adorned or disfigured them; that weakness worships them; that credulity preserves them, and that custom, respect and tyranny support them in order to make the blindness of men serve its own interests.” Baron D'Holbach

A 20-year-old man by the name of Darin Najor of Ferndaleis is facing an assault charge after allegedly accusing his English literature teacher of being a witch and then pouring liquid on her. The man also threatened the teacher with a cigarette lighter and cigarette.
There is no doubt that this guy is insane, or I should say "out-sane"; however, his insanity is not isolated, but, in my view, comes from a deep sense of religious…

This blog will be different for me since this one won't be loaded with facts, figures, cites and other drab blather that I normally write. This blog is about respecting religious views. Faith. An illogical belief that is devoid of proof. Where else in our discourse do we actually use this word properly? I don't mean the colloquial meaning, in sentences such as "I have faith in him/her". For instance, when has anybody (that isn't completely deranged) actually had faith in any material object?…

More reasons to get rid of religion.
Are our Inventors devils? This is what a Televangelist pastor named Dr. Fredrick K.C. Price insinuate on his TV broadcast. On Sunday morning, October 5Th, Pastor Price speaking on "Bible Teaching" decided to school his congregation. The pastor charged the congregation saying that they are refusing to buy his sermons on tapes and Cd's, instead spending their money on non-religious music tapes, DVDs, Cd's etc.
The angered Pastor Price in…

More reasons to get rid of religion.
In Morocco a Salafi preacher name Mohamed Al-Maghrawi issued a "Fatwa" that permits girls 9-years-old to marry.
Interisting, why is the "Fatwa" or the author of the "Fatwa" saying that they 'permits' these babies to marry. You can't permit a baby to marry. A 9-year-old have no idea of what marriage is and mean. How do you let these babies know that you gave them the permission to marry? Do you go to them saying here is the "Fatwa" we…

Creationism is a religious belief and should be kept out of our schools, I say. Stupid Scientist:
According to a top British scientist, Professor Michael Reiss, director of Education for the Royal Society said that
'Children should be taught about Creationism in school biology lessons'
Why does the Professor think teaching a Biblical belief in school to your children is a good idea, because, he said

Religion is arguable the institution among us that that is responsible for the most bloodshed on our planet. With the creation of religion, man, in my view, have become more enemies to towards each other than ever. Religion have make us more ignorant and stupid. Religion turn us into pointless killers. Killing in the name of some God we can not see, will never see and who don't exist.
Yet we have people who kept trying to give us more of this bullshit thing call Religion.

When I was a young student in school studying ancient mythology, I always loved the fanciful tales and colorful characters, but couldn’t help but wonder why we call ancient Roman and Greek religious practices mythology and ancient Christian practices religion. If Christianity had not had such a powerful or successful PR machine behind it, we might all still be praying to Athena and worshiping Zeus, and the world’s few remaining pagans might not…

The Vision Beyond Borders is a group based in Sheridan, Wyoming that distributes bibles and Christian teaching materials around the world. The VBB web site states:
Many of the six billion people on the earth have never heard of the name of Jesus Christ. The disciples were sent out to preach the Good News of Jesus to the far reaches of the world. We believe that Vision Beyond Borders is helping to fulfill that commission with the same urgency found in first-century…

I am what you would call an atheist. I have no belief in any "god" and I am perfectly happy with that. My children are freethinkers, but they are discovering how hard that concept is for others to accept. Can you imagine what it must feel like to have another child tell you emphatically that you are going to burn in hell if you don't "accept Jesus"? Both of my kids have found out exactly that. I bought a couple of books for them to read from Amazon a little while ago, so they could get an idea…

The other day we went to the theatre and saw two people with the Flying Spaghetti Monster on their shirts...funny thing was they weren't even together. I asked them if they could show my son their shirts and they were thrilled. He was hailed as a "fellow Pastafarian", much to his delight. My kids understand the ridiculousness in believing in any gods. Children have not a clue as to the true meanings behind the passages in the bible, no matter how much you drill it into their heads. Children are…

In case you only think the Catholic Church performs strange ceremonies, here is a story from New Zealand that will convince you otherwise. Janet Moses, an average looking 22 year old New Zealand woman of Maori decent, died ten months ago during an exorcism or “curse lifting” ceremony performed by six women and three men, all members of Ms Moses' extended family, who will now stand trial for manslaughter.
According to Wikipedia:
The word Māori refers to the indigenous Polynesian…
