Creation and the Fall - Dogmatism

Let's assume for argument's sake that God created everything as Genesis states.  We shall consider Genesis to be perfectly accurate.  The problems encountered are far greater than incongruence with reality.

If God has always existed, is all-good and is the origin of everything, I have some questions.  

Where does evil come from?  If God is to be considered the origin of everything/everyone, then God somehow created evil.  If God is omniscient, he did so intentionally.  Further,…

Automotives for the Future...The Beginning!!! (Part One AutoBlog)

I have never written for a blog about automotives, but here I feel as if I don't try I won't ever know where we are on alternatives in automation. So I'm going to jump right in with both barrels revved up with full throttle. My thing is the fascination I've had with auto racing since my childhood and I always heard that girls were not supposed to do this or that but secretly my excitement was to build them fix on them hear them roar!

Is God Lying or Making a Mistake?

As most of you probably already know, the bible contains a lot of contradictions and inconsistencies. A favorite of mine occurs right in Genesis in chapter 2 when God tells Adam and Eve not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge.



It's a great way to start of the bible... with a supposed omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent being either lying to Adam or making an error. Go figure.

Cognitive Dissonance OR Jesus is a Shapeshifter

I think my Art History professor hit upon something last night while discussing the Pazzi Chapel designed by Brunelleschi. He said, “Belief is knowledge, and when you ‘know’ something, you are comfortable. But if I say, ‘WRONG!’ then suddenly your belief in what you thought you knew is called into question and you are uncomfortable.” He went on to discuss why the chapel itself was “comfortable” because it mathematically had correct proportions, etc. etc., but that quote got me… Continue
