While I am a big fan of Court T.V. (Judge Judy is my favorite! Followed by Peoples Court). I occasionally get a yen for something more substantial. To the magical land of Youtube and I found this great 2 hour debate with Stephen Fry, Christopher Hitchens, and a Catholic Priest and a woman involved with the Catholic Church. It was polite, smart, with some smatterings of humor and of course there was the Q&A session at the end.
It's two hours long, but it's a great watch.…
“If religious instruction were not allowed until the child had attained the age of reason, we would be living in a quite different world.”
Christopher Hitchens, God Is Not Great
“There is nothing that is too obvious of an absurdity to be firmly planted in the human head as long as you begin to instill before the age of five by constantly repeating it with an air of great seriousness.”

I've transcribed this segment from Fox News after the death of Jerry Falwell for your reading enjoyment. It has become a Hitchens youtube classic, with over a million views. Thank you, A/N.
Now, a rant: There is little if anything more sacred to me, in all the history and legacy of the United States of America, than the Constitution and its Bill of Rights. The most…Continue
I am going down to London to go see Sam Harris in an Intelligence Squared debate the "reverand" Dr Giles Fraser, Canon Chancellor of St Paul's Cathedral on the topic of where do our ideas about morality and meaning come from?
The last time I went to one of these it was the now legendary Christopher Hitchens and Stephen Fry Vs Anne Widdecombe and Archbishop John…Continue
