I find my self agreeing with the Vatican that the Dove Outreach Center of Florida’s plan to burn the Koran is “outrageous and a grave gesture.” Secretary of State Hilary Clinton also responded by saying it would be a “disgraceful and disrespectful act.” No disagreements there either. "The gospel is deeply serious while Judge Walker's decision is a jumbled mess of sloppy thinking." (That's funny; I would have said the exact opposite.)

As most people who follow the news likely know, California's Proposition 8 (the ban against same-sex marriage in that state) was just overturned last week in federal court. The United States was not "Founded" as a "Christian Country"

I am an American.

On top of that I am also a Texan.

I was born in Texas and can trace my family coming to Texas in the 1850’s.

Most of my family came from the United Kingdom. The rest came from Europe.

Some have been in the United States since the early 1700’s. Some fought in the American Revolution against England.

For what I can tell, they all were “Christians” of some sort or another.

So I work at a hotel where we have a mix of US and International workers. Last night a girl from Bulgaria and a guy from the US who used to be in the Marines started talking about religion.
