I would totally buy one, but the design is wack.

This has been a recurring thought of mine since I was a child, when I got
kicked out of Sunday school. The priests told my parents I was "possessed"
because I wouldn't stop laughing and cracking jokes. Even at that early
age, the absurdities that were being shovelled down my throat seemed just
that - absurd. But I digress.
The concept of prayer to me has always reeked of what the superstitious refer to as "black magic" - the invocation of supernatural forces to… Continue

You were always curious how it felt like to drown. There was a time that you felt death and that you can’t do anything to stop the darkness that looms over your face. You’ve always been with your sandman, dreaming of the bloody Neverland, always dreaming. And you know that it was just an escape. You were always afraid of that man on dark suit, afraid he might cut your throat and that blood would gush out, your red thick blood flowing and drenching your shirt. You were always afraid someone… Continue

Well, my brain seems to be in the proper working order, finally. I think maybe my left hemisphere was overloading, because the only time I was okay was when I was working on statistics or on my research project, both heavily analytical (right brain) activities (is that correct, or am I getting the two mixed up?). Everything else was sending me into la la land.
Detaching from reality seems to be an occasional problem with me. But I think that I finally may have come back to earth from… Continue

More reasons to get rid of religion.
Chills will flow through the body after reading this story. In addition, this story and many, many others, with the same outcome -- death, should make believers re-evaluate the blind faith they placed into a "belief system" that perpetrates so much death, horror and pain.
The Tyler Paper.com reported that Blaine Keith Milam, 19 and Jesseca Bain Carson, 18, both of Henderson, "claim they were trying to drive the demons out of… Continue

I really love chocolate chip cookies. I always have. They make me feel orgasmic and yes, pleasantly fucked in the brain.

You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
He’s making a list,
And checking it twice;
Gonna find out Who’s naughty and nice.
Santa Claus is coming to town
He sees you when you’re sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
He watches when you are changing
He watches when you are bathing
And he masturbates to it every day
O! You better watch out!

My computer was broken there for a while but my dad fixed it without much problem. But then he took forever to bring it back to me. I get my procrastination problem from him I think. I missed the nexus!

Now, some may look at the theory of the Love Bug as pessimistic. Perhaps thinking that with the "magic" gone from how we bond with one another, the entire pursuit of love becomes a meaningless gesture. Obviously, I disagree. What I am trying to accomplish with this theory is to release some of the anxiety caused by what I see as an intense pressure to seek out a feeling that seems rather hard to find, and even harder still to keep. And these are not just social pressures. The chemicals that… Continue

I got this number from Bill O'Reilly rant on Fox about the Atheist display in Seattle Washington. He has urged the Christians to call and get the display removed.
Thanks Bill, I just called Governor Gregorie in support of it. I actually got a human on the phone too. I thanked them heartedly for the display and not showing bigotry. I also wished them a Happy Holiday no matter what they celebrated. The woman I talked to was kind and polite and didn't seem to take offence.

Are cats for true Christians?
Is it appropriate for a Christian to own a cat, in light of their past pagan religious affiliation and the medical information that is now coming to light? -J.R., U.S.A.
It would be misleading to answer this question with either a simple 'Yes' or a 'No.' The Scriptural answer of necessity must be a 'qualified' one, and it is easy to see why. Many conscientious ones among Jehovah's people today have wondered if Christians should own cats in view of… Continue

This is the second school year I have lived in Oregon. Last year I went to Oregon State University so I was in Corvallis and then I transfered to University of Oregon (I know - I'm a traitor) so I'm in Eugene this year. As a Feminist and Environmentalist (Eco-feminist!), living in Oregon, especially liberal Eugene has been a really eye-opening experience. I love how Oregonians fill up with pride from buying local products. It's easier to find little ma'n'pa shops, nightlife, political/academic… Continue

Ok, so I'm new to this site, about 2 days now, and I have just noticed something a bit disturbing....
If you scroll down and look to the right hand side of your screen you will see the column called "bill payers" (I'm seeing this, anyway). In this column are paid ads posted by Google. There's one called Jesus 2020. I clicked on it and it took me to a site that wanted me to say Jesus died for my sins. There are others that are urging me to pray. WTF??? I came to this site to get away… Continue

I posted this on my site recently, and I thought I would share this here and maybe see what the community might be able to add.
With the approach of the holiday season, I’m already hearing the “Keep Christ in Christmas” mantra and the indignant outcries that the big name retail chains are sullying the season by wishing patrons a “Happy Holiday” rather than “Merry Christmas”.
It’s my thought that people should really just get over this, both in the battle for keeping… Continue

Ten thousands years ago, our ancestors looked to the skies and saw magic lights dance across the blackness. They revered or feared these lights, and to explain them, they created stories and myths, which made them do things like carving hearts out in appeasement to a sun gods. The more they payed attention to these lights, the less they feared them, and began to use their movement to coordinate travel and to schedule the planting of crops. Now, as we have… Continue

In response to a prior post
, I received a pretty thoughtful, non-hysterical comment that nonetheless invoked the infamous “something from nothing” argument that theists sometimes use to dismiss physics and introduce a Deus ex Hallucina to explain the Big Bang. I commented back, but because my comment involved a few hundred words I decided to bump it up to the main-post level. Here it… Continue

so apparently, some puttz claims that the face of jesus, yes that's right, the messiah, can be seen in the wood grain of this guitar. here is the link to the video.
my response to the video:
are your fucking eyes crippled? or did you crack your back and have an acid flashback right when you looked at this guitar?
it doesn't resemble the face of jesus… Continue

Christians always make the claim that the Bible is the word of their God, and according to the Bible itself Revelation 22:18-9, "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things… Continue
