Edit: I didn't name this? I are dumb.
Now before you jump down my throat I'm not saying it's bad, the original trilogy is good for the most part but it is not the gold that people seem to view it as. There are many good parts but there are bad parts as well.
I know someone will say in response to some of my criticisms: "in the novelisation ..." I don't care. I doesn't matter what the novelisation says, the movies are what matter, not the novelisations of the movies. Another…

A few weeks ago I got a message from a friend after I suggested a website for them to visit to gather information. Later that day as I’m going through my mail I see that my friend replied to my suggestion with a brief note saying “I am a Christian and I cannot go to an atheist website.” I sat there flabbergasted wondering what happened between my suggestion and this note, thinking to myself “What does that have to do with the price of tea in…Continue
I did not choose to stop believing
I did not choose to leave behind
The Faith that’s been deceiving
My quiet innocent Mind
I did not want to be so different
I did not want to cause a mess
But I can’t stop my mind from thinking
That I can’t believe in just a guess
If God is Truth then what is Truth?

Should He be real just because
The Bible makes good Fantasy?

Better yet, any of the remakes (i.e. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJEPFTwLkrg&feature=share)
Besides the obvious: don't let go of the steering wheel, you idiot; nobody, not the baby in the backseat nor your imaginary friend, Jesus, is going to grab it and steer for you (and your baby!)!!!

So on April 9th, my good friend Jason had me come on his internet radio show to discuss the May 21, 2011 end times prophesy. It was originally just going to be me on the show with his co-hosts. The show runs for two hours and we were set to talk about Harold Camping, May 21st, and the rapture more generally. However, about 4 hours before the show was to start Brother Mike called Jason's hotline and…

When May 22nd comes around - we need to pretend to all know someone that isn't h ere any longer. Those that were "left behind" will just have to come to grips with the fact the rapture came and went and they weren't on the…Continue
I do find it refreshing that people are more straight forward in atheist communities than not. And I would have to qualify that not all atheist communities are more aggressive than non atheist communities – but I do find a certain scene of directness and crossing social boundaries that are upheld in other places.
This isn’t to say that I don’t contravene quite a few social boundaries myself, and in fact feel quite more at home here on Nexus than anywhere else, where I find…Continue
