The clips in this week's show are from a terrible, terrible "educational" film full of LIES! LIES I tell you. Plus, it's narrated by Anita Bryant. What more do I have to say?
All week, I've been harrassed by a woman whose trying to save my soul.
This tells you all you need to know about me. I'm trying to break… Continue

Crap... I sat down at lunch and read a little of Leviticus. I live on the buckle of the bible belt, so sitting with a bible at lunch is something I see every day. I was in a cafeteria. Every so often I laughed out loud! I couldn't help it!!! Heads turned. Eyebrows raised.
So I sat there with my pen to underline the more bizzare points and had to settle for single words. It was all so bizzare. (I don't have it in front of me, so pardon the lack of direct quotes.) God sure does like… Continue

I went to a Catholic Kindergarten. We had to go to church everyday. When we got to the wafer- you know "the blood and flesh of Christ" I would cry and refuse to eat the wafer. They would shove it in my mouth and check to make sure I ate it!! Bastards. I didn't want to eat flesh and blood. I didn't understand that it was a wafer. . . they told me it was flesh and blood!!!! One day on our way to church, I hit my head on something. They took me to the nurse. She asked if I was okay to return to… Continue

I’m know you have all heard that Florida Legislature is considering allow people to buy (from the state) Christian themed license plates. There are two new novelty plates being purposed, one depicting Jesus being crucified and another depicting a cross in front of a stained-glass window. I'm not sure where I stand on this, I'm curious to know what do other atheists think? More.

The following is an excerpt from the upcoming book "Exodus From Zion" by Angie Jackson.
I tried to cast a demon out of myself, in my bed in the early evening. I was wrestling yet again with depression and thoughts of suicide. My grandmother put a lot of stock in naming demons - if you knew its name, you could have dominion over it. I was 16 and anorexic and I hated myself. That's it - Self-Hatred! I sat up in bed and began to command the demon to come out of… Continue

I know I've been slacking lately on my blog posts but I've been dealing with my typical post topics in the real-life arena. I am going to school for evolutionary biology but I still come under fire from my peers when it comes to religion and science. Many people in the science field feel that religion and science are compatible. My stance is they are actually incompatible because religion tries to nullify scientific truths.
There is the fact of Evolution and then the Theory of… Continue

So apparently an Atheist with the Scriptures in her hands is as lethal as a vampire falling in a lake of holy water. But the internet Bible sites aren't cooperating with me so here we are. Heehee, my book has zoo stickers in it.
I think most of my blog posts will be things that are semi-obvious to the Atheist, but the purpose of this blog is to organize my thoughts in an indestructible moat of heathenism. Also, to mildly entertain those who read it. Thus I will try to keep it… Continue

Off to New York today to do some fun stuff and talk to a couple of groups about my book. See these links:
Next week we are making a big announcement about the new Recovering from Religion initiative. I think it is time we non-theists stepped out and helped those who are not totally infected with religion, find their way out. Help… Continue

So, what do you think? I can't tell you precisely when this is happening, but soon. Francois and I will be doing our podcast again. We had a couple of years off, and I guess that's enough.
Of course, you'll be hearing the same old Mondo Diablo. I have waaaay too much music for a talk show.

Alright, you guys in Ireland need to get your shit together. When reading this article on a proposed “Defamation Bill“, I had failed to realize that it was already a crime to defame religion in your Republic. The problem is, of course, that the very concept of “freedom of speech” conflicts with any special provisions meant to protect religion. Apparently, having +90% of your population actual believers… Continue

Sorry not to reply sooner. I'm glad to hear from you
because after I send my last email, I thought of a
couple of things I wanted to share.
God is not a monster. He weeps for you because you
don't understand and worse, you do not want to
understand and because you don't want Him, you
will perish ...unless, of course, you change your mind.
You make is sound like God is a monster, that He just
wants to chuck you into… Continue

Why can't dog owners be more responsible? This is the 3rd time in a week I have come in contact with loose dogs. It is a frightening experience. I have 3 dogs and walk them 2 at a time. I love to walk my dogs and they are always on a leash. People just put their dogs out in their unfenced yard unattended. I am tired of being fearful to walk my dogs. I just purchased an air horn. I had to use it today because 2 labs started to approach me from their yard. I guess the owner heard the air horn and… Continue

My heroine’s commitment to teaching evolutionary biology prompted me to bone up on the history of evolution. I wondered why it took so long for Lamarck, Wallace and Darwin to come along. The anatomical connection between mankind and the animals is evident—we have the same organ systems as the great apes, for instance. The human oxygen-carrying metaloprotein hemoglobin, containing hundreds of components in a complex heterocyclic ring, is exactly the same in gorillas—atom for atom. Why did it… Continue

"I am by no means a perfect person. I make mistakes just like anyone else. However, as I grew up I learned one very valuable lesson: Learn (sometimes the hard way) from not only from my own mistakes, but more importantly, from the mistakes of others. I rarely ever make the same mistake twice or repeat another’s mistake. I am a better person because of it." More @ woodybass.com

With all the abuses that have happened in this country it is time for a full blown revolution. This long train of abuse has been carried out by not only the United States government but also with the help of corporate America as well. The very fact that it is state law that dictates you need auto insurance to drive a vehicle on roads that are paid for with tax dollars from people with no insurance is one example.
Why should state law be dictating this? People whom have cars do not… Continue

Police interrogations are the primary reason many actually innocent persons go to jail and are wrongfully convicted. The tactics frequently used in police interrogations are nothing more than psychological devices as well as some physical to coerce or (schmoose) a person into confessing a crime in which they more than likely have not committed and have no knowledge of prior to the police actually spoon feeding them details.
When the police interrogate a suspect and you are placed in… Continue
