Jogging

So in the interest of getting off of our fat butts and doing something positive to lose weight my wife and I are going to start jogging. Starting tomorrow. I know I know, all diets start "tomorrow", but really, it's too dark now to start today or we would have.

We're going to try some "Couch to 5K" program thingy that she found online. I don't know how long it will last, but here's hoping it will. We could both use it.

Family

My problem seems to be that I'm poor and perpetually on the verge of homelessness or facing hunger. When I wasn't speaking to my family for three years I fell into a dysfunctional relationship with my wife's mother and aunt. They both gave generously to us in order to keep our heads above water. Meet the parents

No big deal really, my brother has his new girlfriend over to my parents house for lunch. Nothing that anyone even really gets excited about. But immediately I'm upset again because for the hundredth time I'm watching one of my siblings enjoy normal, inclusive treatment from our parents that I'm not given. For me, it's enough to cry over. Israelis shoot zoo animals, apparently for fun

Israeli troops shot and killed zoo animals

Animals shouldn't be kept imprisoned in zoos in the first place, and the Gaza Zoo was probably substandard and inhumane to begin with, but this is just pathetic. I have no sympathy for the Palestinians or the Israelis any longer. The world would probably be better off without the whole lot of them.

I got a Wacom Bamboo tablet for xmas, and have been practicing with it on a site I used to mess around on some a while back. (I post as Rook on that site because it is my favorite chess piece.)

Hypocrite among christians?

Sometimes I feel such a hypocrite...

A brilliant tactic used by the religious right

How great is it that every time anyone decides it is not appropriate for the religious right to force their beliefs upon the public at large, specifically other peoples children, they accuse the complainers of doing the exact thing they are being asked to stop?
