La Red

Has anyone heard of or dealt with the company La Red? The place where my husband works is trying to push the ideas of La Red onto its employees. Billboard sign I saw

Posted on May 30, 2009 at 8:30pm 4 Comments

I was driving to my in-laws tonight when I saw this billboard. The sign seems to change alot, and the message usually on this particular billboard is usually anti-abortion or a hotline # for unwed mothers. The topics may have something to do with the church/daycare across the street, but I'm only guessing. When I saw this sign I wanted to say WTF! but had my 4 and 3 year olds in the backseat. Apparently, the fact that the divorce rate for christians is higher than atheists means nothing to… Continue

Finally, a little compassion for those with a serious illness that will make them suffer greatly. I hope Ohio allows this before I get old or I may have to move!

I like the ones that say, "One Nation From Many People".

My kids can rhyme now.

Posted on May 20, 2009 at 12:41pm 0 Comments

My 4 year old has been into rhyming now for about a year, and my 3 year old is finally starting to catch on. It's wonderful, but it's gotten to the point where we can only rhyme in private. One night, before bedtime, my oldest was saying 'smack butt' (who knows where she heard it), and it turned into 'fat butt', then into 'fack butt' and finally into 'fuck butt'. I stiffled a laugh and told her it sounded like a word that wasn't child apprioprate, and that was the end of that. But then… Continue

Here's an article that was pointed out to me. One that frustrates me because of the religious people, but at the same time makes me feel good because of the way the school and parents handled the situation. Way to go!

Greetings, vivian! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.

New Philly! It makes me happy to know there are atheists in Ohio. Makes coming back for visits better.
