got the new Humanist mag last night and sat up for a hour or two just got 2 read about 1/2. But I always read it cover to cover. I am moved by the article Saving Aqsa Parver, honor killing/abuse has to be stopped and Granados has the right of it, to…
I'm reading the Wheel of Time series, and I'm to book seven, which is The Crown Of Swords, I've enjoyed every minute, I just hate that work and stuff get in my way. I think Mat and Perrin are about my fav char. They are such funny…
Atheists enjoy speculative stories as they *should* be enjoyed: for entertainment purposes only, not to be confused with reality. Members here can have fun discussiung the literature, movies, TV, etc.
I'm having to separate things like that too on Facebook, so few people know and my husband is having a difficult time right now. Having a small business in a southern town, and it goes against all that he was raised with (things he also…
I'm searching and learning all the time. And I really don't have people to talk about atheist views, without them taking a hard line or solving it by praying for me.
Drives me crazy;) So I stay away from that topic completely, but I'm thinking all the time.
Greetings, susan! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus since Aug. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.
Susan, hey. You should come to Jonesboro some Tuesday evening and join us for our weekly ACJ meeting at the public library. You said you don't really have anyone to talk to about atheist things, and those meetings are perfect for that.
i did some when I worked for the VA about 15 years ago. I think of my work now as telling doctor what is wrong with the patient and saving lives. If it wasn't for lab work, doctors work would just be guess work. ;)) lol
I work in the lab doing anything from drawing blood, running the test like cbc's, chol, glucose, crossmatch blood for transfusion to patients, and at times fix broken analyzers, write policies manuels and teach students on rotations. It's a good job, and something that I love doing. Since I graduated in 86 I have always had a job and a way to raise my kids, part of that time I was a single parent. and could take care of everything.
