ORIGINS: UNIVERSE, LIFE, HUMANKIND, AND DARWIN

We debate origins of the Universe, life, Earth, humans, religion, atheism, using common sense, evolution, cosmology, geology, archaeology, and other sciences, to repel biblical creationism and other religious beliefs.

About Me:
I have lived in the south my entire life, and though I have several strong friendships, complete honesty with people seems impossible without risking a friendship. Mostly I would love to be able to de-compress a little by meeting similarly minded people. No college, but I would still consider myself a seeker of knowledge.

scratch a cynic

A child comes into the world with no ill will, and without the education neccesary to say why one race is better than another, or why one political party is trying to exhume Hitler, or the fags are destroying the American family....uuuug!

I was a kid once. I had dreams, and I made friends easily, and loved selflessly, and then I grew up..., or everyone else did, I dont know.

I've realised over the years that it doesnt take much motivation to make people segregate themselves, and you can see it every day. The country is ill, and mabey it allways has been, but while people are worried about gays, blacks, mexicans coming over the border, and gays in the military, the real owners are running off with the bank.

The fact that a 60 year old white man on a fixed income thinks he has more in common with Rick Santorum, than the 60 year old black man across the street drives me crazy!

I realise im going on about racism, and politics, when the focus here is religion {or the lack of} but its connected and hoping that one will sort itself out without the others being addressd is a fantasy.

I want to be pro-active, I want to carry a sign on the side of the highway, I want to stand up at work and explain why peoples illusions on society are hurting them, but im vilified, laughed at, and discounted.

People snuggle up to ignorance like a warm blanket, and im starting to hate them for it... I WONT give up.
