Is the Bible open to interpretation?

If the Bible is truly the word of God, there is no need for personal interpretation. God has dictated his rules and desires; he doesn’t need billions of varied human interpretations to distort his views. thanks for the friend request :) I was enjoying the funny photos and captions, until it got to " behead all those who insult Islam" and then things weren't so funny. We non theists can have a live and let live attitude, but what a reminder that so many theist do not.
