Good post. I got your video off of Mac Rex's page. You make some good points. Religion is necessary however. How else could smart primitive people live without working? Religion was the first con job, and it still continues to work. I'm an ex-bio t…

Teaching Creation and Intelligent Design as Science

I am so tired of hearing people argue that creation and intelligent design should be taught in science classes alongside evolution. This would be a devastating move. First off, America is already fallen so far behind the rest of the world in terms of science education. Now that we are starting to make some improvements in this sector the religious idiots want to teach creation and intelligent design as science. There is no evidence for the existence of god or creation. The same must be applied t… Continue

Hey Marquell;
You friended me a while back and I never got around to acknowledge it. Thanks. Those are some great looking kids and the music from the Shawshank Redemption is very moving. I always said that there should be a special category of Oscars for Movie intros and their overlooked end credit music. That's one of the things that irks me about watching movies on networks. They always chop the end credits and go to a goofy commercial and take you away from savoring a good movie.
Many Thanks.

Hi Marquell! Thanks so much for welcoming me to this network. You're my first friend. I recently offended a Christian on Facebook by posting a YouTube about Christianity in a Nutshell. I go overboard sometimes.

"Free-thinker" was a popular term in the 19th century amongst atheists and I see no reason why it shouldn't be re-activated. It captures the Enlightenment ideals of thinking and investigation without fear or prejudice. For the British amongst us Cha…

I think this ignores one simple and demonstrable fact: Beginning with the 17th century enlightenment, there has been a gradual movement away from religious faith. An increase in knowledge about nature has offered a competing theory about life's orig…

This group will do more than just pick apart biblical errors and contradictions. Let's closely examine the Bible and Qur'an. Nothing is sacred; every prophecy, proverb, and parable deserves examination and critique.

Hi everyone,I grew up in a Christian home, and for 30 years I was quite dedicated to it. A couple of years ago, I think it was in 2004 or 2005, I lost all faith in the religion. So here I am. Atheist since 5 years, and I can see any reason why ever…
