- 46 yr old married guy from UK - product of catholic/muslim mixed marriage - hence the RAD atheism :)...working in IT (yeah - boring I know - I do Cisco networks)
not really surprising I went atheist...on my maternal grandmother's side, my Gran's 2 brothers were Jesuit Professors (Vatican SS!!!) and on my father's side (Turkish) we had a Sunni Imam and a Sufi uncle.....
Both sides were rabid and CONSTANTLY interfering.....and there was LOTS of conflict (lovely :))....drove my parents nuts too but they were too weak to stand up to them.
My reaction was:-
'You are all fucking NUTS!!!!! I want nothing to do with ANY of you or your stupid delusional farytales!!!!!!!!!'

David Sensei said… - Mark, that post you did back in March on Atheist Humor written by the Australian humorist David Thorne, the e-mail correspondence with his son's school counsellor over permission slips, was one of the funniest pieces I've read in a long long time. I posted some gushing kudos on Thorne's webpage, and just wanted to thank you for putting me on to it.
