Justin, please consider joining my new group HERCULANEUM: A PLACE FOR MEN. Herculaneum is a group where men can discuss and explore the ideas, goals, demands, ethics, sexuality, and nature of manhood and masculinity. It is a place where we are free to be ourselves, and discuss the issues most important to our identities as men.

I have already started two discussions to get us going: How do we define manhood in the 21st century? and Rites of Passage: A Lost Ritual?.

This is a private group, and discussions can be viewed by members only. Membership is open to men only. Please check it out.

I may have been a bit blunt. I understand the search for an understanding of things: What is man, from whence did he originate; destroys superstition. I understand this. Sometimes, though, I feel that most do not see what truely impresses. I am consistently happy and I smile way too much. I am just so damn impressed wih mankind. Everyday something happens to blow my mind. Here is todays example, A very kind, polite voice spoke to me in the store. When I turned around I saw the most unlikely, unexpected sight. This man was over 6 feet tall, all in camo, long beard, others would think him sort of menacing. I was never impressed by the outward sense of things. I find too much evidence to support my theory that man is the most remarkable creature. the things he builds, the things he does. Oh god...your about to call me a flower child, aren't you. Been there...heard it all before. Why would anyone be obsessed with the origin of the material organization? Seems rather pointless to me when the deeper always does impress and yes matter and material thinking will go back from whence they did originate. Not everything belongs to the soil. How could it. I am sure you have amazing qualities. Where did they come from? Hummmmm? Now HERE is a question! And this question is not chasing it's tail. A concept ever expanding. This is why I smile. Okay, I am not totally anti-matter. I'll admit, My teeth are bleached. LOL

Being a woman and having traveled through a series of progressive 'human' events affording women more rights beyond the limititations impossed by a working society: an advancing image that goes way beyond all of these stupid material based systems, dna and what have you, has lead me to conclude that people arguing from a 'biological' standpoint are really just shallow observers. Can I put it any clearer than this? Who gives a flying shit about matter and it's origin. Is this supposed to help one in their daily struggles? I find material organization or evolution from frog to man to be such a waste of AND lack of intellectual disemination. The shallow observer does not impact my thinking. If people are 'in serach of' a god; and all too often these are viewed as the free thinkers, not accepting of a dictated doctrine, or a learned theology; I truely believe they should look to something obviously deeper. After all, we are screaming about basic human rights and object to and protect against impossed limitations. Is this not 'matter based thinking?' At one time women were burned for stepping outside the box (a funny way to describe the ghost)What if we find the imprisoning effect to be so aggressive that we choose to exhaust the flesh and the battle of: heres a good example, how about identity theft and a general lack of personal privacy. Now theres an issue. Life requires us to be diligent against intrusion of one form or another. I don't know about you but my obsession is not with the flesh. Have a nice day.

Thanks for the add. There is no need in looking for tempring in evolution to call the process creative. Simple Evolution is cretive enough in itself.
