Exactly... Becca has it right. The two terms are not mutually exclusive. Atheism deals with belief(or more importantly the lack of it); whereas agnosticism deal with knowledge.
So a person can be an agnostic atheist: a person who does not know…
"How far advanced do you believe scientist would be now?"
Fact:
Hmmmm… Lets see… Given the estimated manufacture date/age of the Antikythera Mechanism(roughly 100 BCE), and the fact that models(computer, and physical) based…
In every zombie movie I have seen; a blunt and/or severe trauma to the head kills/stops both pre-zombies and full zombies. So a crowbar or downward chop(sword/machete/axe) to the skull should take care of the issue of them getting back up.…
What about other gods/religions/holy books? In other words, it is not a “holy” book(as there are many) that make one an atheist or not, but whether that person lack a belief in a god or gods.
To also quote Stephen Roberts: "I…
Interesting, I was just had a conversation about this very subject 4 days ago… I have heard that the last weapon you want to use is a gun, or any weapon that makes a noise loud enough to attract a mass of flesh devouring zombies. And instead…
Whoever (Clifford Evenson?) wrote that article to the publisher has no clue of what they are talking/writing about.
First off, other than a way of denoting the time at the beginning of the U.S. Constitution there is no mention of any type of…
Indeed… There is no reason why "any" religion deserves respect. With that being said; a general respect for people and/or life can, and should be given, but a respect for a persons belief(religious, or otherwise) should never be…
Interesting thoughts/idea on a flood described in the tanakh and bible... But the biblical flood story is just a plagiarized version of the "Epic of Gilgamesh". Which has a complete creation and flood story that you find in the two books…
One would have to describe what “god” they were talking about first. Meaning its attributes and whether it can influence nature. In other does it manifest in reality. ;O)

I think that any religion/belief system that has people indoctrinating children into believing things that are not demonstrably true; as if they were real is bad/dangerous/stupid.

Well there are the bits in the bible where the god character actively curses/punishes innocent people.
1] Blessed by the god character, or not; I always thought that the dishonest act of cursing(with help from the god character) ones own grandson…
Hello, and thanks for the comment & for the birthday wishes. A fiber artist is someone who uses fiber for creative expression. And fiber itself can mean anything from a tattered Kleenex to the finest Navaho woven rug. It includes all types of fabric and yarn, string, paper, and the manipulation of it to create "art," however broadly you want to interpret that term. One of the main reasons I'm so drawn to fiber is because it's so tactile.. it begs to be touched, pulled apart, altered, then put back together again. Mostly I like to mix other media into the fiber elements, such as art quilts (keeping in mind that "quilt" is defined as anything with 2 outer layefs with a filler layer sandwiched between them. Think Oreo cookie...only with fiber). Anyway, that's my loose definition of fibert art, so hope it's helpful.

I picked Avatar the Great for two or three reasons
1> I love the movie Wizards and the anti-war anti-propaganda message.
2> The Green with a star is kind of like Esperantos flag / logo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esperanto
3> Avatar is the good guy. I like how he uses technology in the end too.
