"I did not read the entire post. But, from what I did read, I agree with you. Being extremely sentient is the key to having personhood. Just because someone is a human, that doesn't necessarily make them a person."

the mistory channel

I have been meaning to blog about this topic for a long time now, so it's good that I get this off my chest. The History Channel isn't a bad channel, by any means, as far as TV channels go. It often has some very interesting, educational programs on it. However, I do have a beef with it.The History Channel will often give quite a bit of credence to nonsense. Spiritual nonsense, that is. It will broadcast the opinions of any UFO-ologist, ghost-believing "medium", or even a Nostradamian without…See More

"The Saturnalia was a winter solstice celebration. One day of the celebration was set aside as the children's day when they were showered with sweets and gifts - isn't that a weird custom."

putting the christ back in christmas

I know that this is an old, tired, beaten to death topic. But, I can't think of anything else to write about. I do not understand why some people care so much that I celebrate the birth of Christ on Christmas as opposed to just getting in the holiday spirit by celebrating the Santa Clause part of Christmas. Why can't they just celebrate whatever they want, and let me celebrate whatever I want?I mean, I read an essay on this by Ben Stein. In which he talked about how, even though he's Jewish, he…See More

the religious mafia

There is a bit of schism, I believe, in the non-religious community. There are those who believe that the worst part of religions is the organization of them, the so-called "organized" religion. And then, there are people like me who believe that the worst part about religions is that they harbor irrational thought. In my opinion, when you say that organized religion is bad, but that unorganized religion is just fine, or worse, good, then you are missing the point of what is at the root of all…See More

About Me
I prefer the term non-religious to atheist. Because, I really have no religious or spiritual beliefs at all. Nope, not a one! So, non-religious is much more descriptive than just saying I don't believe in a god. I will try to keep things solely (not soully, mind you!) about religious stuff.

Hi Homo! (ok maybe that didn't come out right...)

Thanks for the add. I'm not the type to get all bent about what any holidays mean. I like eating food and visiting family. And when the praying starts, I just excuse myself until it's present time!

Yes of course.
The reason that we do not believe in any god is simply that there are none.
They are all figments of the imagination and exist only as fictions inside people's heads.
