Thank you for noticing Flo. So few have. I've deleted my Facebook and Twitter accounts.  I've given 3 years to the crusade and find myself increasingly sitting in front of the computer in tears as I'm attacked or brought down and none of my legions of so-called friends stepping in to support or defend me.  Yesterday I received an email from someone within our circle saying he found it 'hilarious' that the 'lameness, tone deafness and incompetence of OZ Atheists never fails to amaze' him.  I was specifically copied in on the letter.  I emailed 10 people directly involved with this person at 5.30pm last night.  As at 11am not one had stepped up to support me publicly (and only one privately).

 

I can't do this work without the support of my peers.

Hi freeflo - thanks for reading my blog and commenting so thoughtfully, I really appreciate it and I am glad to find my view of the politics of the USA strikes a chord with some of the people living the situation on a daily basis - its very difficult to really understand another country's politics without a daily immersion in the scene so to speak.

I am going to do a blog soon about what alternative economic models we need to see emerging after the failure of both communism and capitalism in the 20th Century - one which values environmental assets from the rainforests and antarctica to our own local parks, and makes it more profitable for the governments responsible for our to conserve rather than exploit the environment. Hope I can pull it off as it is a huge subject, but luckily one I work in on a daily basis :)

Thank you for your kind words of support. I guess I needed to hear what Non-God "Normal" people had to suggest for this process I am having to go through. It is so hard to think, process and grieve when everyone you know want's to use this time to push their beliefs of god and religion on you (convert you). I feel myself pulling away from those that use this time in my life to push the bible and god down my throat.

Thanks again! Your words encourage me a lot. You call us thinkers. I also think so. Methinks, here comes the basic difference between Animals and Humans. I'ven't much Time to spend for social network sites, but this is a site where it is the Gathering of the True Souls, methinks. So, I find myself egarly waiting for visiting this site. Perhaps, I'm being habituated to wait for your words as well. :)
